The disrespect to Black Lives Matter on this forum

Recently, I read you’re more likely to be killed by a Police officer in America if you’re white, although I’m not sure of the integrity of the source.

An inclusive perspective would be that all lives matter as to only highlight certain lives based on skin colour and historical events could be deemed positive discrimination.

I’ve seen some analogies about putting out houses on fire etc, but it’s not always the same type of house on fire.

Personally, I’ve got friends from various parts of the world with different skin colour, but we all have red blood keeping us alive.

I hope everyone is keeping well you beautiful people.

house on fire ? its the neighbourhood that's on fire in some Cities there mate.. and its not racism is the cause, its gangs , guns and drugs . if a couple of hundred people are killed in your town /city then a black policeman kills someone. .your biggest problem is not the black policeman...but its so much easier to look for a target outside your community than deal with the bigger problem

I’m not by any stretch of the imagination claiming you’re a racist in purpose, but you’re just very ignorant and that’s disappointing, especially seeing so many people on this forum contributing to the pro racist cause.

Why some of you think it’s in your best interest to share different images and posts that are mostly half of the story with your own twist to fit your racist view, or you try and play the police brutality down by sharing the very few idiots who are Looting or throwing things at horses etc etc.

The same people on this forum sharing these “important” images of looters and trying to give the majority of peaceful protestors a bad name, haven’t posted a SINGLE police brutality image, video, story, anything. So if you still think you’re NOT racist even though it’s as clear as day with your one sided propaganda and corrupted view of what’s going on, then take a good look in the mirror because I guarantee the players you pay so much to watch play football, would be disappointed in you and go as far as to brand you a racist. But yeah pleas carry on showing us pictures of a tiny minority of idiots who are looting, or holding up things about Madeline McCann (because all black lives matter protestors are really interested in that).

I’ve spoke out to family members and friends recently about this, when they say something ignorant or take a stance that is basically “it’s not happening to me so I don’t care”, so I assure you as much as I’ve been on this forum throughout the football seasons, I certainly will not be back here to get my Cardiff City “news” anymore.

Change your attitudes, it’s easy to stay ignorant, educate yourselves. I hope I return one day when everyone here looks at the real problems that YOU don’t have to go through. But let me guess, you lot think it’s “fine” that EVERY SINGLE black parent gives their child “the talk” explaining you need to be extra nice to people and the police incase the police want to hurt them. Yes, that ACTUALLY is real life, if you know any black people then ask them, you’ll find out for yourself. More white people are killed by police (370 white vs 235 black last year) but then they are a larger percentage of the population so statistically more likely to be shot by police if you're black.

But then in terms of violent crimes black people are statistically far more likely to be involved (black people account for 50% of violent crime but just 13% of population) and so are statistically more likely to be in a a situation where there is a higher chance of being shot.

However, as I say the data can be sliced to favour either argument but perhaps the more important statistic that pretty much blows this whole 'systemic racism is rife within the US police force' narrative is that in 2019 only 9 unarmed black men died at the hands of a policeman.

Bear in mind that the black population of America is something like 43 million that is a roughly 1 in 4.5 million chance of dying by cop if you are unarmed and black.

If we include people who are armed and black the rate goes up to 1 in 190K.

When you are dealing in numbers so small percentages really become a bit meaningless. The narrative that the US Police Force is fundamentally racist and murdering black people is quite simply not backed up by the statistics at all.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything you say. As I mentioned the stats can be manipulated either way to fit an agenda and everything you mention is absolutely correct. The fact that is that BLM are a ideologically driven organisation with an overt agenda.

They never discuss true issues that could improve lives of the black community like; tackling inner city black on black crime and murder, understanding the increasing dependence of opioids in the black community, addressing the single motherhood rates (which I think is something like 80%+), questioning why planned parenthood is targeted predominantly at the black community and so on. Instead they focus on a non-existent secret oppression at the hands of the racist police.

If black lives matter to these people where is the outcry over David Dorns murder? He was black and murdered in cold blood just like George Floyd. Is there no outcry because Dorn was an ex cop instead of an ex-con? Or is it simply because his killer was black and so was Dorn? If black lives matter why are conservative black voices like Candace Owens, Sheriff David Clarke, Larry Elder or Brandon Tatum who speak up about these issues are suppressed and cancelled so vehemently?

There is zero evidence that it was Floyd's murder was racist. It may have been, but given they had worked together previously as security before Chauvin (the cop who killed him) became a cop, there could just have been long running bad blood over something else. Given that his wife (Chauvin's) was asian, we can probably rule out him being white nationalist so again it is a big, big leap to assume Floyd's murder was racially motivated.

Certainly not enough evidence to burn America and Europe to the ground on.

Similarly, where was the outcry when Tony Timpa died in almost exactly the same way as George Floyd some 4 years earlier? Their deaths were almost identical but Tony was a white man. Both were unnecessary deaths but what evidence is there that either were racially motivated. There simply is none.

To the Leon the OP (if you are still reading) ... to question the facts as they are presented is not racist. To want to avoid slipping further towards a race war is not racist. To see that there is something going on here that doesn't correlate with the facts you are being presented is not racist.
