Hmmm, methinks you need to settle down and pick up a decent history book![]()
Churchill was the orchestrator of the war effort and his achievements in galvanising this nation to withstand the threat of the enemy (not withstanding Hitler's odd but thankful decision not to press home the advantage when he had it) and for that alone he will forever hold a place of gratitude in the nation's heart
However, closer examination in respect of some of his other actions/decisions might make you revise your assertion that there is no reason to criticise the man; and that is no more relevant than when (as Home Secretary) he sent in the troops to quell the impoverished miners during the so-called Tonyoandy Riots
Although the extent of Churchill's involvement is often disputed, as then Home Secretary the decision fell on him
However, I do agree that those out 'protesting' today clearly cannot think beyond their own heads
I thought the Lord Lieutenant of Glamorgan called the troops in and Churchill pulled them out?
Irrespective this Isn’t about BLM many of the groups in attend wantBoris out and Brexit reversed, same in the States this is about getting Trump out and Creepy Joe the sex case in.
That's where the confusion arises. Churchill initially rejected the requests as being OTT for troops, as at that point there had mainly been some hand to hand fighting, vandalism of one of the pump houses and some windows smashed by around 70 of the near thousand workers at Penygraig Pit
However, he sent in what are now the Met Police with a mounted section that included the option to deploy the military "if required" and this led to the cavalry being used, although that particular unit weren't specifically authorised by the Home Office
The confusion surrounding Churchill is whether he signed the agreement (disputed by some) or was it someone below him?
Either way, Churchill was the man in charge and knew the situation
With regard to the march in London, I don't know what motivated these people to gather in a mass huddle and act like Grade 1 backsides during a pandemic, but I do know (from experience in my younger days) that many wouldn't really have a Scooby Doo of why they were there in reality and used it as an excuse to 'kick back' after the frustrations of the apparent lockdown

With regard to your last paragraph how would you know the minds of the many people were there? There were literally thousands in cities across England. Very high minded and presumptuous of you. The lockdown up to now has been on the whole been well observed by the British people, until Cummings selfish actions so the evidence dosnt really support your sweeping statement.

Nope, can't and didn't happen, fella!![]()
Same person has held the account since Friday Mar 02, 2012 at 12:01 pm and has never been banned or removed
Last post was on Monday Jan 06, 2014 at 4:03 pm but the same IP has been used for other names in the period since
Can't see any obvious issues other than a slight change of name, so maybe you simply forgot your password (easily remedied)?
Stick to the facts rather than telling others your account was 'nicked' because it simply isn't true!

Yes George Floyds death was awful to see but would like to see the statistics on how many white men get killed in America by the police, I suppose the people protesting could not give a shit about their lives because they would have nothing to protest about. If a white cop kills a white man it is not mentioned, but if a white cop kills a black man look out all cops are racist.
All lives matter not just black lives, where were these protestors when Lee Rigby was murdered by a black man, nowhere to be seen. Not to mention the other rascist killings of white people.

Ginger people been persecuted for years but I haven't seen ginger lives matter protests.
It's all nonsense, in the real world none of us care about skin colour, sometimes its a way for black people to play the victim card

Anyway, I digress, my point is that these people in these positions should either be condemning the violence before anything else, or not given a platform to preach from but hey, what does one expect off the BBC lovies.
They laughed at Boris when he bought Water cannons, by God, we could do with them lately, hopefully old bill will be pouring over the CCTV tapes around the country and some will end in jail and others on a plane back to their own countries.
Last point, In this time of heightened tensions WTF are the BBC thinking by showing a program on the Windrush scandal tonight? Or is that their new anti government ploy, to stir up more racial hatred.
Off for a herbal tea. STAY SAFE LADS AND LASSES
