Love the hypocrisy in all this, people saying "If Cummins can do it then so can we"
In reality hundreds of thousands have been doing it from day one, over and over again. Southend beach was hilarious yesterday with everyone sticking to the 2 INCH RULE.
The fact he did what he did, if you are honest and admit it was stupid, it wasn't a risk to spreading. With everything happening in the world the Media coverage has been rediculous, over the top and boring. Front pages in all the rags, hours of prime time TV for one bloke, 6 weeks ago...only a tiny mention of the millions on the beachs and parks yesterday. Nice overtime payments for journalists...What a country.

how can anyone conclude what you have here ?
yes he is obviously influential , what do you want government advisors to be ?
but to jump from someone being regarded as important and influential to being the dictator.....how

ADVISORS!

I can't stand politics, I can't stand any party and what they stand for. I'm 52 and would get rid of the establishment and have a people's vote of MP's, and then another vote as to who is on the Cabinet and running the departments, and from that another vote as to who is prime minister.

I'd ensure they were on civil service wages and ruled by civil service terms and conditions. I'd ensure they all worked like a business together and stop all this nonsense in the house of commons and lords - gone - finished - waste of time and money. Make those in proper paid jobs accountable to the public not their old boy school networks.

forget everything except, what normal parent who is ill, has been ill, still feels ill, would drive for 30 minutes one way and 30 minutes back putting their family at risk to check their eye sight - unbelievable - he's treating us all with contempt.

Advisors should be seen and not heard - it was a big mistake giving him air time as well - but that whole set up in a garden blabbering on about bullshit was nothing more than jackanory, maybe that's his next job, reading children stories...…...………..or to adults who like a good story

No mention yesterday that the 12th April was his partners birthday -

Mary Wakefield/Date of birth
12 April 1975
age 45 years

12 April: Cummings visited Barnard Castle, 30 miles from his parents' home in Durham, according to The Observer and Mirror newspapers.

They’re insignificant, Cummings isn’t. It’s wrong but that the world we live in. It’s the same for everything big name premier league players will get more media attention than lesser players for doing the same if not worse.

A government minister has resigned over Dominic Cummings' lockdown trips.

Douglas Ross said the embattled adviser's claim he had a valid excuse to travel during the coronavirus outbreak was "not shared by the vast majority of people who have done as the government asked".

In a letter to Boris Johnson published on Tuesday morning, the outgoing Scotland Office junior minister wrote: "I have never met Dominic Cummings so my judgement on this matter has always been open and I accept his statement on Monday afternoon clarified the actions he took in what he felt were the best interests of his family.

"However, these were decisions many others felt were not available to them.

"As a father myself, my instinct is to always do what is best for my son and wife. We have been fortunate not to have caught this awful virus but if we did, we are prepared to follow the government advice and stay at home to contain this virus.

Just a quick question, would any of you drive your car on a 60mile round journey to check your eye sight on your wife’s birthday? Yes or no

The chief of British Transport Police in Scotland is facing criticism after making two trips from Glasgow to Yorkshire to visit his family home during lockdown.

British Transport Police (BTP) have confirmed to The Daily Record that Eddie Wylie made the 480-mile round trips between his Glasgow flat and his other home in Holmfirth, but lockdown rules on travel and second homes.

A spokesperson for BTP told the newspaper: “

In a statement, BTP said: “British Transport Police is a national police force with its headquarters in London, and as such our officers are required to regularly travel across England, Scotland and Wales for essential meetings or as operationally required. In these instances, Chief Superintendent Wylie will stay at whichever address is the most convenient.
