There have been games where within the first 5 or so minutes our brain dead fans are singing England run from Russia or Always shit on the English side of the bridge. What the f**k has that got to do with supporting and getting behind the team and the players let alone be one of the first songs to be sung. These songs together with the absolutely disgusting pathetic version of Hymns and Arias just show how lacking in intelligence and imagination a large number of our so called supporters are. There a loads of old songs and chants that are either never sung anymore or very rarely. Fans moan about lack of atmosphere but instead of getting back to songs/chants that get behind the players and the team they just continue with these pathetic cringing songs that in no way urge on the players and the team. Songs such as We love you Cardiff we do, When the Blues go marching in, na na na Hey Hey Cardiff City, the City song to the Hey Jude tune to name just a few. All of these songs can be loud and most of them can be sung continuously for 5-10 minutes (or longer but that is expecting too much from our fans). There are many others no longer sung as well. Come on Vince at home particularly the songs sung are in the main dictated by what you start up on the drums. Either ditch the drums, which would be my particular choice, or start adding to your repertoire. You have been around long enough to know and remember all of the songs and chants. We also need more imagination for songs for individual players. None of this will happen though of course because our brain dead, coked up, pissed up so called supporters think that the anti english songs and the disgusting version of hymns and arias is what is called supporting our team and players.

This sums up my own thoughts, as I also have no interest in singing a song about sexually exploiting young children. At the last home game, someone said my mate and I were repetitive because we kept a chant going for too long. Naturally, he was told where to go.

In all fairness to Vince, there’s ample opportunity for the fans to get a chant going. I stand by the scoreboard in 103 and he often assists us if he hears us singing.

Can I also kindly remind people that we chant Kaaardiff 4 times, not twice, after the C... A... R... chant.

Grange end boy.

Your clearly far to intellectual for us mere mortals on here and who are clearly less of a city supporter than you! We apologise profusely for attempting to create an atmosphere and raise our team within our ground. Unfortunately have only been attending city games for 45 years so clearly know nothing about atmosphere/chants. Clearly I am not worthy of your clear superiority in the supporters pecking order, however if you tell me where you sit I promise if in the vicinity to sit down and be quiet and not to join in any act that may imply I'm supporting my team.

What an absolutely absurd response. For your information I always have and will always continue to join in with the songs to try and create an atmosphere but I have never sung the anti english songs or the disgusting version of hymns and arias. I have made it quite clear that in my opinion these songs/chants in no way encourage and support the team and the players and how the hell you think those songs create an atmosphere that helps to encourage the players is beyond belief. My views are quite clear to understand but as the saying goes ‘ you can’t educate pork’. Never has a saying been more apt.

I've been going for 45+ years also, why are you so rude to fellow supporters? Whilst you assume they are not as educated as yourself is one thing, but to retort with nothing but offensive abuse is another,or does it make you feel superior in some way? If,as you say you have been going down the city since the 60's,you seem to be a touch aggressive for your age :banghead: :old: :bluebird:

I’ve made a career on sarcasm and banter, sometimes as a coping mechanism, so I’m all up for that.

It’s just I’d rather put my vocal efforts into being pro Cardiff City and I cant imagine the pedo song being inspirational for our players.

Although, I do think the world has gone PC mad and our fans definitely don’t deserve the unwarranted bad press.

You really are a bitter, cantankerous fun sponge that needs a reality check. It seems you only comment to split opinion and cause friction. I'm not sure how your intellect, loyalty, or how long you've been going to games forms the basis of your argument. Many of us fans comment on this forum and have opinions just because they are not the same as yours it doesn't make us thick or newbies. Regarding the original subject post, most of us genuine fans loved and contributed to the atmosphere at ninian and merely try to replicate as best we can in a ground that replicates a morgue at times. You clearly are fine with this? The rest of us will carry on regardless. Like I said earlier if you don't like it, don't go.
