Really hope this isn’t true. Wigan fans will probably want to drive him here themselves. Haven’t done hardly anything for them.

Yeovil - 20 games 4 goals.
Ipswich Town - 11 games 0 goals.
Barnsley - 20 games 4 goals
Wigan Athletic - 17 games 2 goals (This season, and 1 was a penalty)

He's 27 now and I have tbh im disappointed if we're looking to spend 2.3m+ on a player with that record. I mean who knows maybe he's a late bloomer and might be better in our style of play (I doubt it), but I find it odd that we're prioritising a striker specifically one who's record isn't particularly good at this level. Id have thought other positions might

I posted the original thread (not sticky :o ) on the Moore rumour. I was surprised at the level of negativity of responses. Many were doing cartwheels on here when Neil Warnock signed Madine and some still rate him.
 At least Moore would give 100% and IMHO would have a better attitude.
now I don't know whether or not Moore would be a good signing or not but let's at least get the facts right

According to Wiki...?
2018–2019
Barnsley 51 appearances and 21 goals. That's a slightly better return than Gary at CCFC  the

That aside, I tend to agree that central midfield is a more pressing problem. Gunnerson was a huge loss. ('remember our performances without him at the start of the Prem season). Pack is nowhere near as good  Sadly Warnock should never have been manager this year and it's his poor signings that have set the club back. (except Curtis Nelson who appears a very good buy).
Too many on here have pre judged Harris and decided he is not up to the job. For goodness sake give the guy a fair chance!

Yes if u notice I said goals in the championship which he managed 4 in 20 for Barnsley in the championship. The 17 in 31 he scored for Barnsley was in league 1 the season after they got relegated.

This doesn’t make sense. Why let
Madine go on a free and spend £2.3m on a like for like replacement of a similar standard. Barmy

If City have got some cash to spend then why waste it on a man with 1 goal from open play all season and who is not that different to the 6m just let go? Plus his chances to goals ratio is shocking for Wales. He should have got 5 in Azerbaijan.

What’s worrying is Harris’ thinking the way forward is to lump it up to a big man. As someone else said here, he hasn’t got world class players around him at Wigan or here as he does for Wales.

Harris is clueless. He is not an innovative manager just a league one manager with his ideas shaped from being a player who’s commonly played in dirty, lump it sides

Fair enough but goals for a team struggling in the league will be hard to come by, whatever league you are playing in. :bluebird:
My main point was that too many people had pre judged Harris and much of the criticism should be aimed at Neil Warnock ......He did a great job in getting us pronoted. But he should not have been in charge after relegation - this is the team he left us.

Btw ... I would much rather try Moore than a 31 year old from Stoke.

We been left a squad with too many older players some of whom were given ridiculous lengths of contract. . Let's not add to its peoblem. Go for younger plAyers with some potential.
