Save millions and lose much more just in tourism income and lost jobs good economics

Their is actually no concensus on the financially benefits/loses.

Ok and I'm not a royalist either! But not sure I would want a president Corbyn or boris for that matter. ... but a modernisation of the monarchy and way it is financed will happen as time goes by, queeny as done lots to reform how she is funded and what she spends just the rest of the mob to be reformed and we'll be sorted.

You would t have too you simply have an elected head of state instead of a monarch who isn’t the prime minister. Much like they do in Ireland.

Losing the royals would only effect tourism in London. Thousands go every year from America and China just to see the palaces and anything else royal.

Doubt it would impact the wider country much apart from not having anybody to open a bridge or hospital.

Having them gives the country a bit of history and pomp making visiting here more appealing

Without them we would be exactly the same just with massive country estates sitting empty
