Warnocks signings leave a lot to be desired whenever he spent significant money.

Agreed . IAbsolute fact , if you consider what his recruitments are worth now he has wasted millions Of Tans money that he is now trying to pull back, I just heard about Madine, can’t believe we couldn’t even get 500k for him, just sums up the player judgement and budgeting of the man some on here call a legend. . Would have been a positive step to have got anew face or two through the loan system to freshen the squad up for Sunday. But maybe more movement through Warnocks departures lounge first..........

We love to waste millions on average players a club but let our best youth players just leave on free transfers without giving them chances with the first team. Really need an overhaul in the planning for the future of the club. The amount of older average players we buy is ridiculous this summer Flint and Pack when we could have promoted Brown from the youth team.

As fir the money etc , that’s football !
Mr Tan can afford it...

Not this window, when we could really use a few spare million for new signings. I’m not sure what effect this departure sends out to the other players before the jacks game, I hope it has a positive effect!!!!

Madine never even looked like scoring a goal and his transfer to Cardiff was a surprise even at the time. Value for money one of the worst signings even Eddie Johnson scored a few.

And all those giving their best wishes are probably the same cretins who constantly sang ‘if Gary scores we are on the pitch’ the cringiest song I’ve heard for one of our own players.

Re: BREAKING " GARY MADINE "

The only surprise, and disappointment for me is, the fact that GM’s contract wasn’t mutually ended, or transferred out last summer.

The guy never ever settled in here from day one,,, and no amount of spin from Neil Warnock was ever going to change the fact that GM was simply Not up to the role in which he was signed for. He simply wasn’t good enough as a Championship striker,,, let alone a Premiership one!

Played well for the first few games under NH and gave us something that no other player could give us ie holding up the ball.
Was never going to get another contract after zero goals.
Probably one signing which still makes NW wake up in a sweat at night.

I really don't think Sir Neil wakes up in a sweat over anything. If he has any sleep issues, he probably counts his money in his sleep

Basically Gary is laughing his arse off

I'm sure Gary Madine won't be (quote) "laughing his arse off", as I'm pretty sure he wanted to play football but I guess people (particularly negative ones like you) will take that view

From the start, Madine hasn't truly been given a chance at the club and even after he 'did a job' for Sheffield United last season, he wasn't used on at City despite our other strikers firing more blanks than a Eunuch on heat

The fee and/or wages paid weren't of his making and I am not aware that he made any fuss in his time here; certainly not in the media, which is where most go to bleat about how unfairly they are being treated

But I do agree that it was always going to end up as a 'mutual agreement' due the wages City themselves paid him

Good luck to the guy, I say; and I hope he fixes himself up with a club soon enough :ayatollah:

I’m sorry Sven. Your view is no more valid that mine unless you purport to know Gary personally. Of course he’s laughing he’s gained his wages in advance (minus some maybe) and free to pick up a wage elsewhere. Don’t knock assumptions made by others when you are assuming yourself. My assessment is that he is one of the worst buys we have ever made and even you would struggle to discredit that opinion

Hmmm, you're starting to sound more and more like your bosom buddy but hey-ho! ;)

I actually spoke to Gary Madine on more than one occasion and he always appeared top be 'up' for the job and a little frustrated he wasn't getting the chance, so maybe I do have a little more knowledge on the particular subject than you

Many on here get to speak to the players for a variety of reasons and occasionally they will open up a little, so in the absence of any particular proof that he's (quote again) "laughing his arse off", I'll take the positive view and say that my belief (that's all it is) is that Gary Madine will be disappointed but (in your favour) it is equally safe to say he has been well compensated for his time here

When a manager tells you your not in his plans thats it.You either find a new club or train with the kids.Has happened at every club since god was a boy.I've ho doubt his agent will get him fixed up quickly and I understand he's grateful to the club for helping to make this happen so put your knob away little boy.

Sven mate... Madine was useless, I don’t care what his intentions were to play or pick up the wage. The fact is when he played he was terrible and you and I have scored as many for city as he did. He will not be missed and will always be talked about as one of the worst signings of modern times.
