Tan making us debt free next year the plan. Massive Credit to him.

If that's the case ,then he isn't the only one who needs to go,the whole squad is piss poor, any pace & we are screwed, my only hold back on Harris, is he inherited a squad poorly assembled by Warnock, and maybe thought that we had the talent, but was being madly supresesd by Warnockball? And he thought"I could change the way these players play "bit silly if you ask me

no pace,no energy, and basic football players, who mostly hoof hoof hoof! Have to say I thought a few of our squad would be able to change their style, little by little, but seems not.

Well if that's the case, can't you hound out 80% of the squad too

2 defeats in 10 admittedly, with poor standard of football, with a squad of plodders assembled by the "legend" Mr Warnock! No wonder he walked,it's an embarrassing squad to leave for someone else, and besides, who do you suggest we get to step in,and turn around years of hoofball tactics,I can't think of many likely to be attracted imho.and they'd be stuck with this same bunch of players, with maybe a loan or two from harris.

I agree, squad is bloated for championship, need to offload deadwood (and there's plenty again

) me,when I have reached the 40 pt mark that usually ensures no relegation,I'd blood a few of the youngsters,f@ck loaning them out, chuck em in and see if they sink or swim, what's to lose? And make a few big earners take their place in the u 23's,see if wakes them up as to how fortunate they are.

My first game that I saw was against Real Madrid so you can tell that I have been watching City for over 40 years, and this was the most embarrassing performance by a City team that I have seen. No pace, no creativity, poor defending, no width, awful long passes, & zero effort.
Perhaps the most alarming aspect of our team at the moment is the inability to win secondary balls. This IMHO is the result of a poor team shape. How anyone thinks they can consistently win games without possession of the ball, is beyond me. QPR scored their first goal before City hardly had the ball at all.
As for the future, where does Neil Harris go from here? I think a lot of us could see us getting thumped at some time. WBA, Leeds & now QPR played us off the park. The ESPN commentator at one time said that Cardiff were horrific today and when the 4th official indicated 1 minute of extra time at the end, he said that Cardiff would be pleased by that so that they can get on the bus back down the M4.
Tan is NOT a football fan. He is a businessman. He lacks the football understanding to know when you have to dig deep and when you have to take a hit. He tightened the purse strings when he should have loosened them (following promotion to the Premiership). Neil Warnock should have retired following that promotion and a young dynamic manager should have been brought in. Now we have been relegated, struggling in mid table position, fans falling away and false attendance figures being buoyed up by season ticket holders who are not showing up to games. When season ticket renewals start, I think we will see a massive drop off UNLESS today is used to make a complete turnaround.
Finally, I know we were injury hit today but surely, wouldn't this be the kind of game to start introducing young development squad players into the match day squad. Also, as far as some first team squad members are concerned, what the hell does Harris think of them when they don't see action when we are getting thumped 6-1. NML is injured so, surely, his natural replacement should be Josh Murphy. I don't think he was even on the bench. Is he injured?
Wed Jan 01, 2020 6:27 pm
At this rate, don't rule out a relegation battle. Sums up the club's ambition
Wed Jan 01, 2020 6:36 pm
I hope we don't rest any "stars" for the FA Cup
Wed Jan 01, 2020 6:37 pm
Harris was the wrong man . look at Milwall much better since he has gone we are playing worse than I wish to remember ok Slade was not a good manager but at least we knew what he was here for and in fairness he did the job he was asked .
According to many managers and ex players we have a really good squad but look at them they are rubbish it is their poor form that pushed my favourite manager out the door in a way that still hurts me Warnock should have left in much better circumstances and had a send off from us to thank him for what he did.
These players are over paid and not good enough Pack couldn't lick Gunnersons boots Flint Morrison Peltier have no pace and that is our defence Poor Nelson will be a good player but he has to cover the lack of pace in others around him.
Tan may get us free of debt but at what cost because him and Dalman and gang are ruining this club as they don't know anything about football otherwise they would have invested in a good manager and supported them with money to get their own players then we get promoted and they will get their money back but instead we will be mid table and the attendance will get less and less and they can only blame themselves

The result today was embarrassing.
But what's more embarrassing, is coming on here and reading all these fickle "supporters" posts!
Get a grip people. He's lost two games since he came in!
I've seen worse.
Move on.

On the plus side we still have a club to follow. Had Tan not been persuaded to come here and rescue us from the dreaded Tax Man, we would probably have gone into administration, and in all likelihood would have been docked points. Instead of playing at QPR today, we may have been playing Wrexham or Hartlepool.

That's totally wrong and you know it. Without VT we would be playing in a lower league and having half the crowds and had no success from the last 10 seasons.

The players are the problem. The signings not good enough.
I dont think Harris right man but let's face it, he is up against it.
The defence has largely picked itself lately with whichever four are fit play. Bamba not ready and Morrison helped no one with his reckless red card.
If Sir Neil thought they were good enough to mount a challenge he still be here.
Recruitment has been dire for the money spent.
The individual mistakes for some of today's goals can't be blamed on anyone other than players. Flint cannot play out from the back and Bacuna is not a last man defender when we have an attacking set play. We didn't make any effort to press the ball and time and time again QPR players had more time than they should and Pack is no where near good enough especially with five defenders when he drops to take the ball from them. And his set pieces and corners today were abject. We have no quality and any side setting up against us just need to negate Tomlin receiving any good ball and that's our threat gone whilst at the other end we leak goals.

Gutted and it’s Embarrassing and hurtful to the Cardiff fans that have travelled

1,180 Cardiff fans travelled and paid good money
And NEIL HARRIS has stated this is a Strong, Quality Squad and has No money for January. Hmmmmm?
For me Our Defence has been awful virtually all season.
£39 to watch that shite-Robbery!!

Harris need to be brave now and make this team his own.
He needs to drop the usual culprits and show some balls.
Bring Smithies back in
Drop Flint
Drop Bacuna
Give Coxe a shot at full back
Try something different
Forget this play to our strengths crap its not working as the players have lost faith in it.

The players are all decent Championship standard, just the manager hasn't got what's needed, he's unproven, outside a club that he knows inside out. The board have once again shown that they, don't have a clue in taking the club forward

Like most people I was underwhelmed by Harris’s appointment. But as ST with City you learn to be optimistic. But this is the 3rd game out of the last 4 which I Have been bored stupid. Where was the fight? Where was the passion? Don’t start me on Harris. Today, He was standing up, silently glaring at his/our players for the whole of the 2nd half, mad like. Shouldn’t he be shouting instructions, putting things right? dare I say, manage his team to follow his instructions. A lot of other posters have said this Result had been coming and quite rightly so. I have had this feeling since he took over. With Warnock I never felt this distraught, yeah we lost some, but always felt there was some fight there by both players n managers. Final rant, I’ve seen some posts on other sites dissing our fans for sarcastically cheering our goal. Well back in the late 80’s we were losing 6-0 to port vale up in stoke and we were just chanting we want 7, and laughing at the vale players. Took the sting out of their celebrations and their fans. Made the trip worthwhile so please give the ones who actually travelled a break just in case this forum starts losing its sense of humour.

Your kidding he obviously tried to change things with subs but totally abject defending blew any plans out of water after just 4 mins 2nd half! The game was dead from there on but will say the performance was abject no fight except Tomlin no pressing no forward movement to help glatzel.. polar opposite to last game big question is why? As we only made 2 enforced changes from that game

Tough call on this today
6 goals
QPR were excellent there passing and build up was very strong.
We got well and truly stung by a great play from QPR and our awful play.
Still want to give him a window though .. fare few players need to be offloaded I just cant see us getting much for them there stuck in the 1980s

We made them look good and gave them to space to go through us wide! They have been average at best conceding 47 goals this season we did the ond thing we shouldn't have done give them space?

we need a few different players to be able to change games today like most others our subs did sfa to change game as was basically like for like and failed like original starters did...

To be fair when we played them up there earlier in the season, I didn’t think they were anything special.
We beat them 3-1 up there.
I think under Harris there could be some bad times around the corner. To lose 6-1 to a team like QPR is unfathomable really. That’s my honest thoughts.
I would be interested to see the reaction to the defeat in the next league game. That will show what he is all about I guess.

It's a tough one !! I wont call for harrises head yet as we are statistically better off in points then before with warnock
Averaging 1 5 points a game where as warnock was averaging 1.2 with the squad he wanted
Harris needs to have a chance and get some players in .. get shot of the slackers bring a few academy boys in and a decent loan that can control the midfield.
Tomlin is way to advanced for the majority in the team with the exception on nml hes the only player on his level going forward.
If Tomlin cracks because of frustration then we will be well and truly fucked !!

Agree about Tomlin lose him and we will lose the one ray of sunshine in team unless of course by a miracle we get in a decent midfielder or two in window to stiffen up midfield..
