im sure our club is held in much higher regard now than it was 15 years ago...
and the reason is all those things you think people do not care about.
people think Leeds are a big club....its not based on anything other than the Revie years, winning cups, leagues, having high finishes and their crowds growing. they were not big prior..

What was the rush!! CCFC were mid table team going nowhere. Why not put Bamba as caretaker and do a thorough manager search!! Make sure our next manager was the very best option as for me this was huge for the club!!

From the outside it looked like the candidates who applied in the first week and we would go with one probs the cheapest!

The only other way would be if NH was head hunted whilst Warnock was still manager!!

Surely that cant be the case!! NH might come good hes only had the team for 8 weeks.

General feel, malky mackay & Warnock appointments excited me, Slade, trollope & Harris have all a very underwhelming feel about them.

Not sure it was a rushed decision. The board knew that Neil would be leaving at least the end of the season but probably mid way if he lost interest. They probably had a rolling short list with pro's and cons.

Harris was a championship calibre player under championship calibre managers which was probably the same for Malky. I believe that managers need to suit the club which really is its fan base.
I have a few Jack friends and we all agree neither fan base would be happy with each others managers. When we needlessly passed along the back four on boxing day the "get it forward mun" shouts and general agitation were evident. We will never be a swansea or brentford

I think Harris's principles suit the club, his only issue for me is he is slow to realise that we are not insignificant wish they would go away London club, but the biggest club in Wales where all the regional media are based. He needs to play them better, Warnock had this to perfection.

The above is rubbish... the agitation Boxing Day was that we were clueless and had no ideas. When the club muted they wanted to go in a different direction of football following Warnock’s departure most fans were excited about this possibly meaning the start of us playing the same type of football as those mentioned.

I don't think Malky was a fit....all that beautiful football gone and 2 double deckers with craig Conway falling over 10 yards into the opposition half as the replacement...

Would you call Sheffield Wednesday, Leeds or Nottingham Forest big clubs, as they have had no success recently where City has.

I dont get it when people say Cardiff City are not an attractive club where the potential is big

I’m not commenting on club size... I’m commenting on the relevance of recent history to managerial appointments.

We should be aiming to play like Brentford though. They play brilliant football. Hence why they are 3rd in the league and 16 points ahead of us.

What direction though ?

This squad couldn't play Warnockball for Warnock. I am not sure what its set up to do.

So far at home we have played totally differently in each game. Could it be he is trying different styles and systems looking at all his options.
On reflection ( I was evil on boxing day) trying Pack as the deep lying playmaker didn't work, but it was an effort to try things.

Financially i do not think we are in the same predicament as Slade was post Ole, but on the other hand Slade had better players to choose from than Harris. Its no way as difficult a job as Slade had though.

Unfortunately losing Bruno and Gunnar and cashing in on Zohore lost a third of our promotion starters. Warnocks replacement of Nelson, Pack and Glatzel haven't really been like for like replacements. So we are left with a bang average squad which will take two windows to alter.

I doubt we'll get many in this window, its a sellers market and we are selling. It will be interesting to see what players we do get during the summer. Only then will we know if Harris is any good.

It will be the wanna be promoted clubs that will spend big in January always is, but of course doesn't garauntee anything and lets see if NH can bring in a couple of players to help change things.

Your right,Glatzel imho is better than Zohore, his stats so far are the same foal wise,as Zohore's last 2 seasons, and he had good players around him (zohore) Glatzel has the same amount of goals (4) in a poor side, with half a season gone, took ken 2 seasons to score same amount ;) :old: :bluebird:

Is that the same Zohore that has only scored 2 penalties all season in a WBA side and now is either injured yet again or simply isn't good enough to be in the squad.

Thanks WBA for the £8M :bluebird:

Harris is a much better manager then Slade.

Slade was 10x a better manager then Trollope.

We aren’t in a big of a mess as we were the last time we got relegated because thankfully Warnock isn’t a dull fucker like Ole was.
