Cardiff City sub: Omar Bogle on, Gary Madine off

Woods clatters into Junior Hoilett and he goes straight into the book. Nasty challenge, that.

Stoke City sub Sam Vokes comes on for Lee Gregory.

Some lovely work from Omar Bogle down the flank as he drives into the box before laying off Peltier, but the defender is denied after a crunching challenge.

It falls to Tomlin, but his venomous shot is also blocked. A couple of good chances for City there.

Bennett overlaps Hoilett down the left and the left back earns a corner after his cross is blocked. Some more good play down the left.

Bacuna is found from the corner and wraps his foot around one, but it just misses the far post. Another good effort.

Bogle is terrible

You can see we are trying to play a bit more, but we simply do not have the players. Hoilett is awful, madine is dire and Bogle is worse. Pack is hit and miss and we are desperate for some quality. However we have laboured to a win against a very poor team.

On a positive, he seems to be giving players a decent run rather than changing every 2 mins and despite hoilett, madine etc it’s good to see players get a run, it means you are being dropped for a reason. A player coming in will know he could keep a place. I like that, it means players have to work to keep a spot.
