What I said was we have always been respectful of the deaths of Mikey Dye and Sala and have never used them against you en masse like you have to us. I also said that this does not feel like the work of a Swansea fan and early indications suggests I am correct in that suspicion.

Done by a desperate attention seeking little prick. And hopefully the police are on his case now.

Media aren't reporting it was done by a Swansea fan at all. The original twitter account it came from is a Cardiff fan and theres no evidence of where he says it came from.

Firstly, the username is displayed underneath the avatar and also on the side of the post you quoted.

Secondly, I would say unlikely. Should the WhatsApp group contain mates that support both teams then why would they release the picture if they didn't want them to get in to trouble? There is nothing to suggest this is the case and seems way down the list of possibilities given what appears to be known at this stage. It appears to have been created by Cardiff fans in order to stir the pot.

As for why? Attention probably, as Paul rightly says. Attention while smearing the local rivals prior to a derby.

Im not saying this kid didn’t do it but just because he posted it on Twitter it doesn’t mean that he automatically did. I’ve been forwarded some disgusting stuff on wattsapp and when I’ve messaged the person who sent it directly, they’ve said it was forwarded on to them. So it’s already gone through several groups or individuals. If I put it on social media it doesn’t mean I was the one responsible for it. This was either deliberately put online to cause trouble or it was a tasteless joke that was never meant to be seen outside the friendship group. It only takes one person to send the image outside that group and it’ll snowball pretty quickly. Exactly why we seen conversations between derby players when they crashed their cars pissed up within hours of the incident. The Cardiff fan who put it up might well have posted it to stir up trouble, doesn't mean it wasn’t sent to him first though. Or he could genuinely be saying look what these jack fans have done, very naive but people put all sorts on social media without thinking.

Now that the police are involved this kid will probably be pressured into saying who sent it to him or admit if he did it.
