thats the crazy bit, i go on here because my job has a lot of downtime but i still have to be here. if i was living it up in the sun this board (and even more so another teams board) is the last place i would be (in the virtual sense)

This board and planetswans are constantly up in my work office ready to check in quiet moments for the latest bits of information on my team. Living in a wonderful place on the other side of the world has increased my thirst for football not dampened it.

I think it’s awfully sad and probably rather telling that you would drop interest in the club you claim to support so easily for no apparent reason other than it’s sunny

But i certainly wouldnt rate someones support for their club based on how often they are on a message board. There are plenty of passionate fans that have never even looked at this MB or any other one for that matter. It doesn’t matter what you personally care about or what you personally would or wouldn’t do, I am not addressing you. I am saying what would be said on here and what has been said on here in such occasions. For one there is a host of excuses with the self assuring statements of it being a good attendance yet when it is us then these reasons are irrelevant and it’s a shocking attendance.

Opinions should be the same regardless who is involved, or they aren’t real opinions. We have had our away attendance photos posted as stickies countless times on here, yet not one person has said that all such photos aren’t taken during the game, that only happens when yours are posted.

If the forum makes a precedent of what is and isn’t an acceptable attendance away from home; then that must remain consistent surely?

I think you should worry about your own crowds and why a team who were 3rd in the league, having their best start to a season in 40 years and had recently experienced their most successful period in their history cant even get 16,000 for a home match. Obviously that figure would have included tickets sold and not people who actually went so there probably wasn't even 15,000 there.

We also had double your attendance at our respective home Cup games with the your standard of opposition far higher.

In any case, why would I worry about it? That seems to be our normal Championship attendance. Swansea fans don’t seem be be deluded when it comes to our fanbase, we are perfectly comfortable in our own skin.

No it wasn’t, you cannot make up what the discussion was about to suit your own ends. This was a multi faceted discussion about how many were there, when the picture was taken and the reaction to said photo in comparison to other similar ones.

You are making the clear mistake of personalising the conversation which is probably why you are getting confused. You assume because you haven’t mentioned something then I shouldn’t be discussing it, you are almost viewing this as a 2 way conversation when in fact it’s a 10 way conversation. My responses are with regards to my points I have made on this thread, they aren’t solely directed at you and what you have said.

I’m not bothered about attendances in the slightest, I find this boards obsession with them funny though. I especially find it amusing from a psychological point of view when I see how protective this board is over the notion of its attendances and the reactions they get. Often vastly overhyped, defended to the hilt and completely irrational thought processes. Pointing out the inaccuracy of the 980 figure and also the excuses of when the pic was taken (one said everyone was at the bar for half time ) are important points to demonstrate that.
