We have signed a striker who has recently scored hat tricks against bayern Munich and Middlesbrough, a centre mid who scored and assisted plenty last season in the championship and is an international, the captain of a league one side and a young talented international winger...

It's crazy to me that anyone would complain where we buy our players from after the last two seasons. Mendez laing, with all due respect, was a nobody who had done very little in league 1. Neil Etheridge was the keeper at a league 2 side. For me they have been by far our best players over theast 2 seasons. That's before I even start talking about Hoilett, Bamba and Paterson.

We have not signed a striker, there is rumours about a second tier German player that is all.

You cannot keep picking players from lower league and hope they step up sometimes you have to go with experience.alyhough I like the signing of White the others I doubt we will even see on the pitch

On the positive side I still owe you a drink after our bet this time last season. Madine never did score for us so you were right on that point

The squad we have now looks way better than the one that took us up
Players who are still with us from that team have improved and are better players now Thinking Bennett Ralls Laing and Etheridge We have added Reid and Murphy . Along with the new players who have come in our squad looks much stronger . The only player I am sad to see go is Manga
If two of the lower division guys turn out to be as good as Laing and Etheridge who I had not even heard of at the time we signed then we are in for a treat

I've been saying for weeks Warnock will try and move them on. It was always going to happen if they can get a buyer.

It wil be a shame if Bogle is moved on , played well against Nice and unlucky not to get a couple of goals.

Think Smithies will be first to go, then Damour.

I'm assuming now that villa are out of the etheridge race we may loan out smithies. Cunningham will have to go if he wants first team football, I think we have fantastic cover now at the back so as much as I've liked his attitude I'd say connelly can go and mybe madine or bogle now that Glatzel is in.

You only have to look astonishing number of expensive flops signed by Sir Alex and other 'top' managers to realise there are no guarantees in this business, and yes it is a business. Cast your mind back to the dark days, when our club could have gone out of business due to mismanagement and realise that the prudent way it is now run has the backing of the vast majority and in my opinion is to be commended.

Some may criticise NW at times for the style of play he chooses to adopt and that is fair. Depends whether you find his tactics acceptable I suppose, results being the be all and end all of his mantra. But I would argue that the way he has transformed the club both on and off the field of play can never be underestimated and has won over the most hard hearted of fans.

Regardless of how successful this year's crop of new signings turn out, I for one believe that NW's way is right for our club and I hope that off the field at least his successor follows in his footsteps.

wow!!!!!!!!!! you really need to get behind the team and new players without writing them off before a ball is kicked, this is probably the best squad I have ever seen playing for City at this level in over 50 years

We said the same about the squad OGS put together in the championship.

I honestly think we have a better squad than that one definitely more depth and options and definitely a better manager... No argument there OGS was awful
