If they are regular users of CCS outlets they will quickly weight up the options and get a card appropriate for them! parents give kids top up cards in place of cash safer and easier for today's living... Even school meals are paid by card no cash :o

Or link their phones to their Parents' card. That way parents can see where money is spent and can set limits. In my opinion safer than handing out cash.

Cheques are just about a thing of the past. I expect most people are like me rarely, if ever, visit a bank any more. Most charities won't even take cash off you now, they want direct debits set up instead. Online banking is slowly replacing the traditional forms of banking, and we are heading towards a cashless society. May seem far fetched, but cash will end up like cheques, and we will all get accustomed to seeing less and less of the stuff, just as we have with cheques.

For me it just isn't something that needed changing, if I'm honest it won't have a massive effect on my matchday experience as I seldom buy the stuff in the stadium these days unless I am out with the boys and we are 'on the beers' at which point a round is usually more than £30 so that rules out contactless and the 'speed up' factor that they are promoting as its going to be card in, pin in, card out, authorised blah blah instead of handing over a couple of £20 notes and having you're change.

For the food outlets ok, providing people aren't spending over £30 then I can envisage that it might speed things up a bit although I'm not convinced but for the bars which is the money spinner I genuinely don't think you're going to see any improvement in the speed of service or shorter wait times at all.

Its easier for the Club not the fans, they should just be honest about that rather that make out it enhances our matchday experience.

Steve, you make a good point and we probably are heading down that route but it is long way off and not something anyone alive today will ever see I wouldn't have thought.

On the point of cheques, youre bang on the money there, I remember my parents paying for the food shop with a cheque and a bank guarantee card was it? but I'm 36 and I have never written a cheque in my life, however I was at a funeral last month and one of the older chaps amongst the congregation pulled out his cheque book and wrote it out and stuck it in the collection box for the cancer charity they were collecting for whilst everyone else was chucking in cash and it did make me think I havnt seen a cheque book in a long time.

Honestly though, I dont think we will ever be cashless, chip and pin is run on the internet, if the internet goes down the world stops if NOBODY has got ANY hard cash.

I dont know why they dont just allow you to load your season ticket card with credits for food and drink and use them for the purchases.

Cheaper prices for season ticket holders as a perk

Then you could have memberships which can be used in the same way
