After going to the states last year for a few weeks I was amazed how popular Trump was, the media here like to portray him as some sort of idiot but that’s not right. I met lots if people from bar workers, to taxi drivers and teachers, they all supported him. It was an eye opener and reminded me how our media here is controlled even though we like to think it isn’t.

Khan would love to drive a wedge between uk and u.s.a. the lifelong alliance broken, the American infidels ,a shocking person to be in charge of a high position.

The narrative pushed by the British media is only uneducated red necks voted for Trump. That’s certainly not been my experience, with the Yanks I met. Love how he rips into terrorist loving scum like Khan and Corbyn.

The same narrative that they push on Brexit. I don't think its controlled, but the broadcast media in particular is full of the liberal left from top to bottom. The written press seems to divide but is more influenced by ownership and editorial input. We seem to get very little information particularly on Brexit that isn't influenced by agenda one way or another.

If you want to be considered as more intellectual then you vote Remain

If you dont want to be considered a racist then you vote Remain

If you dont want to be considered a Xenophobe then you vote Remain

If you dont want to be considered a facsist then you vote Remain

If you dont want to be considered as causing division you vote Remain like Khan

Exercise you democratic right to vote leave the European Union and your all of the above.

Oh forgot to mention this little beauty from the Editor of The New European. Those who vote leave are incontinent, actually he said " leak piss ". To date a quote that's gone unchallenged. An ageist hate crime if there ever was. Would have never got away with such a vile comment against any other sector in Britain. Abusing the elderely British is fair game though if it means making a political point.

i usually spend a couple of months every year in the States, and while there are people who dislike him, most people I know out there absolutely love him and everything he stands for. On another note, I have read elsewhere today that many of his critics over here are the same people campaigning to have that girl who left the UK to join ISIS to be allowed back into the country. All seems a bit strange to me.

And as for Trump "doing more for black people than Obama" .................. well words fail me

Perhaps if that's the case you can explain why such a low percentage either voted or would vote for Trump ?

You are entitled to your views on whom you prefer as a politician but let's not make things up.

Trump thinks climate change is "fake news", despite virtually every renowned scientist having a contrary view.

Trump is a fraudster who made billions by ripping off creditors by putting his companies into bankruptcy 6 times. Eventually he made money but only because of the vast amounts of inherited wealth he had to speculate over and over again whilst trampling all over the people he owed money to.

Where I do agree with you is that we have had similar visits for other despicable regimes (China, Saudi's, etc.) when we shouldn't have and that needs to be reviewed for the future for sure.

Quote:

Trump’s approval with black voters in May 2017 was 17%, 9 points higher than his actual Election Day vote at 8%. That was still 2 points higher than Mitt Romney received. It hit a high of 21% in July and fell dramatically to a low of 5% during the Charlottesville controversy before, again surprisingly, rising back up to 17% in July two months later.

The last figure was 16% in May of 2018 with an aggregate across the 12 months of 14%.

Clearly, if even 14% translated into actual votes on Election Day 2020, then Trump would win in a landslide given the heavy concentration of black voters in swing states. Remember, he won in 2016 with just 8% support nationally among black voters.

Now I'm confused !

Are you actually saying that as a result of Trump now has an approval rating of, on average, 14% that proves the original comment that Trump is "doing more for black people than Obama"  So we'll just ignore the 86% of the black vote then :laughing5: Bloody priceless !!

I'm not arguing whether Trump would or wouldn't get back in, the comment I was addressing was that he's done more for black people than Obama. If that is the case can you just tell me how or where ?

He's looked after the higher tax payers, National Rifle Association, corporate pollution contributors, etc., I wholly accept; but black people, women's rights (abortion laws), low income families, healthcare, etc. ? No way can that be successfully argued.

Let's stick to facts, 14% is not a positive approval rating no matter how you dress it up or are you arguing that the black population just don't realise how much Trump is helping them

Calm yourself down eh....what it simply shows is you fobbed off the "Trumps doing more for black people than Obama"

Ask yourself why is Trumps approval rising amongst the black population whilst Obama's at one point hit an all time low from his starting 80%.

In 2020 they are estimating over 20% of the black population to vote for Trump compared to the 8% that voted for him in 2016. That tells me he's improving things.

I don't get your let's stick to facts statement when that's all I've done.

OK, what policy has Trump introduced that has improved life for the back people of America ?

Even if you're right on the improving numbers, that still leaves 80% of blacks who don't feel that. That's a pretty damning result and who are you, or I, to question or argue how they clearly feel ?

Too much of a snow fake generation thing going on. No different to Spitting Image back in the day, all parts of the political elite were ridiculed and it's a valid form of protest/humour. Read Private Eye and you may get it !

Well given our opposing views we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Although it's rather unfair to categorize people who like Khan as "followers" if you don't do the same for Trump. I think you'll find they were voters who, in a democratic vote, voted him into power with a significantly bigger majority than Trump achieved in his election.

The hypocrisy of the far left is staggering. They loved Obama who bombed the Middle East every day of his eight years. He oversaw the training funding and arming of a group that that called themselves ISIS.
He was partly responsible for many parts of the Middle East being turned to rubble.
But they hate Trump, but even they don’t know why ? They state the caging of Children but it was under George Bush reign that was set up, and the pictures of kids in cages was under Obama’s watch.
So then these clueless morons then protesting in the street calling anyone who don’t agree with them Nazis. Clearly they have no idea what a Nazi is or what they stood for. They don’t grasp why Trump is here. They are such thick morons it’s beyond there rationale that they can protest and call others Nazis because of those brave soldiers 75 years ago.
And that tw*t of a man Sadiq Khan has seen under his watch London turning into the murder capital of the somcalled free world. Stabbing go un checked but arrest a woman in minutes for puncturing that blimp.
But no arrests when two older gentlemen were assaulted by a baying mob of Elitist Communists. (New breed)
They are a disgrace to this country. And the press and media are all complicit in this shit. They report everything in there agenda but fail to report those assaults yesterday and the pro Trump march which was massive.
Jeremy Corbyn has also shown he isn’t fit to govern. He will welcome any terrorist but refused to go to go to the palace to meet Trump.

Who can argue with that? :occasion5:
