Brexit: How far did leave break the law?

As time goes on its become very clear that mps are putting self interests before the voters and EU politicians are rejecting anything we ask so that in hope that brexit does not happen! Latest is no to june date but we Will give you a year instead with strings, by giving a year they hope that the mps will
Force a situation where we stay in euro zone or cancel brexit altogether, got to wonder if this was intentions of our politicians in 1st place knowing there was majority in favour of remain in parliament?

Lets be honest its only the tory party that have wanted Brexit and not even all of them. Other than that its a handfuk of Labour MP's prepared to respect the vote of their constituents, the rest have been determined to block any meaningful brexit with their end goal of blocking brexit altogether.

If they'd said that to the electorate in 2017 then fair enough, but they could even be honest with their intensions in the Newport West elections last week. The Labour party are determined to overturn brexit and if they had anounce of integrity they would be honest with the public.

Two things that are odd to say the least! Firstly the referendum result was not binding so was open to be overturned as we are seeing now? Secondly why the fck did may put in a clause (back stop) that she knew udp would not back and without their backing she wouldn't be in power and not a cats in hell chance of passing brexit in parliament ? As it stands there is only two choices leave no deal or go with this one year delay and probably no brexit by end of it as we cannot change anything in the agreement so cannot go forwards unless we stay in the EU trade organisation which means stay under EU trade laws without a say in implementing them and who wants that besides remain MPS ?

May's strategy is all over the place to be honest. She's seen as having tried to work with and against both sides of the argument. Some would argue it's compromise but in reality it makes her look indecisive and weak. Thatcher would have stuck to her position and by now we'd know where everyone stood even if we didn't agree. She wouldn't have let labour get away with the Remain down south, Leave up north nonsense they still maintain. She still wouldn't have got it over the line but she be in a better position to take it into an election. At the moment May looks done in and we need an election, the sooner the better.

But an election won't alter situation unless labour gets a majority if that happens we are screwed and will remain in EU, if no majority probably be in same situation as now unless convince Cons to side with them! Cons get in wont alter anything as half her party want yo remain anyway

The majority of MP's are failing to represent the vote of the majority of the people. The majority of MPs clearly want to overturn the decision and Labour should have been honest with the public at the 2017 general election and not said they would respect the vote. They should have stood on a manifesto of wanting to overturn the referendum result in line with the wishes of the majority of their MP's.

The majority of MPs clearly want to overturn the decision and Labour should have been honest with the public at the 2017 general election and not said they would respect the vote. They should have stood on a manifesto of wanting to overturn the referendum result in line with the wishes of the majority of their MP's.

Upto now they have not been in favour of new referendum but as times gone on they are moving to have close alignment to trade organisation which basically means having to abide by EU trade rules without having a say in them! Leaving EU without actually leaving totally, its a bit of a con by labour to appease its MPS ..

These parties of traitors will get at taste of whats coming, in the forthcoming EU elections..

Your right and we traditionally use the elections that matter least as a vehicle of protest. However it will get used as further justification for binning the 2016 referendum result.

Not sure how much attention we should place on polls. If they had been correct about the referendum we would not be having any of these discussions right now. We would be a fully paid up member of the EU.
What I have noticed is that a large percentage of people who have experienced life outside of the EU as well as inside seem to be the ones who want out, while those who have only ever known us to be under foreign control want it to remain that way. Possibly a case of better the devil you know.

Well we all know mps want us to remain but having more of them cozying up to EU will be bad for us! This delay will only enhance chances of having a connection to customs union which is not what the people voted for so can see us being betrayed by both cons and Labour ...
