I lived in New Cross in the early nineties and went along to Cold Blow Lane now and again.Any person looking for trouble in this area will soon find it.As my grandad (a boxer) used to say to me" never look for it son you will soon find it". I took his advice. There are some possibly on this forum who revel in this kind of activity.Mindless numpties, most could not deal with a one to one but hide in a mob flaying their arms around like drug addled children. Embarrassing !!

agree.

certainly makes you appreciate the amazing work our club and fans have done over the past 15-20 years to make our matches almost entirely trouble free.

people who go to games looking for trouble aren't football fans, just common thugs. if they get injured during fights they are looking for, that's their problem.

Firstly, they didn't "all want it". Many just wanted to pose. In the split second that the posing changes and a real fight is about to start, many aren't quite as keen all of a sudden.

Secondly - It is against the law. You can't cherry pick which laws are correct and which laws are OK to be broken.

Thirdly, what about the people who actually live there? Do you think they thought it was "a good crack"? Is it the kind of thing you'd want your kids to be subjected to if they looked out of their window or were walking to the shops?

There's no excuse for it and the perpetrators are generally all idiots who feel they have something to prove.

All very unfortunate, and blades are out of order. However, the scousers went looking for trouble. Millwall is not Palace or Fulham.

You could say the same for burglary or child abuse of course.
You seem to be suggesting that they all wanted to be slashed with Stanley knives - I doubt that actually, in fact I'd venture to suggest that there may even have been people present who didn't even want a fight at all ! Hard to credit, I know , but there are actually a lot of people these days who seem to just want to go about their lawful business without joining in or watching a load of sub normal fuckwits fighting it out on public streets.

Now, I know you will suggest that this is another case of political correctness gone mad, but I'm afraid it's not legal to carry on like that and that's why they send people to prison for doing it. It's a thing we call a "consequence" and there are all sorts of other potential consequences such as being slashed like this chap, fatally stabbed , having to hurt one of the tossers to defend yourself or your children and so on ad inf.

In short, it's not considered a defence at law to say that you wanted to do something, and you should try and grasp that concept really.
I think the fact that the current generation of tattooed morons have never experienced the effects of big boys violence or known either fear or war is the reason that they carry on acting like Viking berserkers until someone kicks their fat arse for them ,at which point they go screaming for the cops like the little bitches they are.

There's a video on YT somewhere made by a kid who didn't "consent" to the Misuse of Drugs Act so he wrote to the Government, informing them of this and that he was putting them on notice that he was going to grow cannabis from his home. Unsurprisingly, his home was raided and he put the police interview on YT. Talk about being dense, it was frightening how thick he was and how he'd been brainwashed by these morons. He even told the police that he would be suing them for something like £100,000 per minute for wrongful arrest and for every minute spent in custody.

Everton embarrassed Millwall on their own patch, but no need for blades. Having said that no need for Everton to stab 3 Millwall fans last time they played at Goodison Park. Crazy :bluebird:

No, policing by consent is what we practice in this country and always have, but it doesn't mean that people can pick and choose which laws to obey, or refuse to be policed on an individual basis .
Policing by consent is the idea that as a society we depute the enforcement of laws to a police force in the first instance, and recognise its authority to take actions such as arrests , knowing that incorrect decisions can be corrected in Court.
Obviously the police couldn't force the entire population to comply by force because they'd quickly be torn to bits on sheer numbers, and so the point of the concept of " policing by consent" just means that they carry out their duties using the support, or at least consenting compliance of the general public.
As you rightly say, that in no way means that individuals who have broken the law must consent to being policed.

I very much doubt that you'll be able to reason though with someone who can't seem to grasp that mass affrays going on in public is obviously both illegal and moronic.

Re: UPDATED: “ ANOTHER EVERTON FAN SLASHED AS “

I though football had got a grip of this. If they deal with this on the same standards as they dealt with the trouble at Chelsea they'll be locking 500 up. There simply isn't the room in jail to do that these days. Violent crime in London in particular, is completely out of control.

Me and my mate possibly cam within a very close distance of it last night. We were going to a pub in Offord Road about 30 yards away, fortunately crossing the road when 3 youngish men came round the corner on the pavement we'd just left. They looked right menacing and I was glad to be out of the way. We go to the pub, off to the game wake up this morning and some lads been stabbed to death not much more than a couple of hundred yards away less 15 minutes later.
