True he has only had one good season but he has only had one season playing upfront before he was a sort of midfielder winger. Great signing should fit in with our style of play very well. Wonder if we will be effectively shifting to a four two four system with Zohore and Reid up front. Even for the premiership we will have one of the fastest front fours.

In all honestly is 9 mil that much? It's a good investment because if we went down and he wanted to leave we would get roughly what we spent and if wed stay up his value doubles

Obviously, lot's were from Wolves and Fulham, but some of the other players signed must have been in contention, it will be really interesting to see how this works out?

The only downside is that we now have a pretty big squad and haven't seen any players moving on yet.

I would have thought we need to get rid of a good 6-8...
Camp, Pilkington, Connolly, Bogle, Fred, O'Keefe, Meite???

No doubt quite a few will go. Most generally tend to go out on loan towards the end of the transfer window.

Hopefully 7mil down with 3mil in potential add-one for staying up. What I like about this signing is that if he can’t cut it as a striker for us he can always drop back to a winger. The pace and ability to rotate through the squad is going to pay us dividends over a long season. Awaiting the blue scarf cuddle with Warnock pic

Most contracts don’t get sorted out until after 1/7 .

Probably, he may hang onto Pilks as back up, and possible Conolly depending on how many more we sign.

4 mil max

You actually think can get decent foward for 4m? We had better start looking at div 1 or 2 even scots premiership for 4m :laughing6:

That's my point i don't think he is that good but like I said I hope he proved me wrong, have a look at what Bristol fans have said last season they wanted him gone because he was too lightweight but unexpectedly had a very good season

Hopefully he's been signed as a goal scoring midfielder rather than a striker as I think we're going to need a bit better than him, Ken, Danny Ward and Madine as our forwards next season.

Luckily enough for the rest of us fans NW does think he's good enough but hey what does Neil know eh?You can pay 30m for a striker and still get a dud.It must be years ago now Jordan Rhodes went for 8m so 10m for a guy that got 20 goals in the championship is probably about right.

Let's be honest mate jordan Rhodes had a few good season's in the championship when he went for that sum, and again I really hope Neil is right and he does a job for us but I believe we would get a much better foreign player in for £10 mil he only costs that because he's english

na but you can guarantee get a striker with more than one good season behind him for ten mil  do you agree buying all gambles? Should be breaking the bank abit on a tried and tested striker at this level not gambling ten mil  15 mil you could get a quality player at this level.

Whether you spend 5 or 50 million on a player, nothing can guarantee that he will perform for us. Every transfer is a risk, and that is what a manager is paid to decide on. I trust Warnocks judgement and am happy with the players we've brought in so far.

gayle defoe Rondon maybe ings but he's a gamble injury wise, maybe a player in the foreign leagues who's a consistent goalscorer in a top league other than a championship one season wonder  ?I'll support him no doubt but it's gamble after gamble atm that's my point. Shame I was gonna ask for some  Gayle is not proven and has struggled, would Defoe come to Cardiff I can’t see it, what’s Ron dons record I don’t know but what I do know is Defoe and Ron don would come with high wages which is what we need to avoid, we are not guaranteed to stay up even if we signed Defoe and rondon, what is guaranteed is they will sink our club in wages.

Exactly it’s a team effort end of the day, you need quality yes but no player is gauranteed to bang 15 goals
In for us, a team effort will keep us up.

Gayle has struggled in the Premier League, plus played a fair bit for Newcastle last season, so not sure they want rid; Defoe is now 35 and scored only 4 goals in the premier league last year anyway; Rondon is a good shout but there seems to be a lot of interest in him from other clubs too; Ings we might be able to afford to buy him but we probably can't afford his wages; and maybe a player in the foreign leagues is pretty vague isn't it?

Can we put this straight, Nobody except CCFC and BCFC, knows what the fee is, All this £10m lark is absolute bullshit, when and if we sign him, then the fee will be undisclosed, so no papers, sky sports wales online or anyone else will not know what we paid for him, and anyone who thinks they know are deluded
