As for the other points. You made your stand and I respect you for that. However now we are back in blue I can’t see why you still have such a vendetta against Tan. However it’s your right to have that.

Nothing could have saved the Supporters' Trust. City's fanbase just isn't interested in proper representation.

I don't have a vendetta against Tan, for gawd's sake. I just can't stand him. Is that OK or must everyone love him now?

You aren’t following the city anymore due to him? That sounds like a vendetta. It is your right however.

Vincent Tan has made for me massive mistakes said some unpleasant stuff about the brand of ccfc and so changed it .
I hated the man with passion for it .when we got promotion last time i was there at the ground calling Tan all sorts i wasn't happy it felt so wrong .Then i helped to campaign to change us back to blue with many others.

That was then so for now I forgave Tan a long time ago for the greater good of ccfc but to be honest to come out say what he said takes a big man and it meant a lot to me personally.
To see him lofted in the air made it all worth it was a great moment and long may it continue
.
Tan deserves credit for sticking with us and changing things around so well done to him and thanks very much for a brilliant season hope we see more of him .

I lost my love for the club during the re-brand era and no longer actively support it, although I go to the occasional game.

Hardly a vendetta, is it? I'm not planning to assassinate Tan or send him any dead animals in the post.....

Great post ,tlg needs to move on ,I've heard loads of excuses over the years not to support Cardiff, but I could never turn my back on my hometown club because whoever is in charge it's my club

I have moved on, Wez. I no longer actively support the club. If that's not moving on, I don't know what is.

Supporting Cardiff City wasn't compulsory during the 38 years I did it and it's not compulsory now as far as I'm aware.

Noone is asking anyone to love Tan but he deserves some respect for what he is trying to do for Cardiff, there was hardly a line of billionaires queuing up to buy Cardiff 8 years ago, and if he had not appeared when he did, what would the chances of us being where we are now. Close to zero I would say.

I have approximately the same level of respect for Tan that he showed to those of us who dared to oppose his re-brand back in 2012/13/14. He regularly said the club didn't need fans like us, he was happy to lose our support and we would be replaced. So it has proved.

Well we are now in 2018, and things have moved on for the better, its a pity you haven't, I take it you have never made a mistake in your life then.

He’s also our best ever owner.

It's your duty to come back and support your hometown club. I won't be happy until all my fellow bluebirds are back on board. Especially former diehards like you TLG. I'm still not Tans biggest fan. And would never pay money to watch the red. I came back this season after a few dire years in my personal life, and felt a sense belonging and reconnection with the club and local area. If i could do it hopefully you and the other stayaways can. Don't let the anonymous weirdos on mikes board get to you or make you think they represent the majority.

I've made loads - devoting a large portion of my life to a professional football club being the biggest mistake by a distance.

I appreciate your words, but I'm genuinely comfortable with the way things are now. It was really difficult initially as football had been such a huge part of my life for so long, but once the bond was properly broken it got easier and easier to stay away and things gradually changed on a personal level. I'm sure plenty of other former diehards have had similar experiences.

I go to the occasional game these days when a freebie becomes available and I'm content with that, but no doubt I'll return one day either when I've retired or the club is in dire straights once again. Tan will be long gone by then, I'm sure.

Personally speaking I think that if I was around / living in Cardiff during the red circus act then I'd have been more opinionated on the subject, nevertheless I question whether or not I would still waste my time and money on a beloved club or hating the owner whom orchestrated the comedy', till now.
' Apology accepted for me.

:D

its cruel at times being a footy fan - you probably die a thousand deaths for the bastards
but the highs, the friendships and the camaraderie are huge.

Cardiff City warts and all - is on balance - fuckin epic
(although ask me the same on a cold december after a gutless team thrashing!!!)

Respect your choices - my soul searching is complete and I'm a peace with the current management and can walk a bit taller for my club.

on so we continue......

Definition of vendetta.

1) I'm here because I was alerted by a friend that Tony had started abusing me for no apparent and others were happily joining in.

2) This is thread about Tan's alleged 'apology' for the re-brand. There's a clue in the title. What did you expect me to be talking about? Hezbollah's victories in the Lebanese polls?

Thanks lads, it's been a blast but unfortunately the 'why are you here?' nonsense has started, which is always tedious in the extreme. Personally, I tend to enjoy using message boards now and then. I regard them as a bit of fun. A bit of entertainment. Ask yourself the same question: Why are you here?

Cheers.

Absolutely bang on mate.
As much as Tan did anger a lot of people I would never turn my back on my hometown club either .In fact I did the opposite I stood up for it and we won the battle.
Now we are all together it obviously worked.
As I said Tan deserves credit takes a man to admit his mistakes especially in the public eye.
He still put money in to ccfc and hes learnt a life lesson not to mess with a football clubs identity.
He wants us bigger better and stronger and at mo thats where we are its a brilliant story really.
If some want to turn away from ccfc well i think they never really loved it in the first place.

Think Warnock takes a lot of credit to hes done so much work not only football management but hes been the man thats changed everything .
Everyone fans chairman players tea lady take a bow .

Congratulations to all well done

I'm here because I support Cardiff City and will always support Cardiff City no matter what. I don't need to be given the occasional freebie to go to a game (your words). What is tedious is you harping back to something that happened 4/5 years ago.

I undersatand your take on it everyone took a different stance on it but ultimately I dont think anyone was 100% happy .
Some rolled over some didnt .
Some worked away .

All I can comfortably say its over now and if you read any of my post from the time I really did hate it .
I went just to stand up for the club not because i enjoyed it because i didnt.
I fought with others to get it back and we won.

Maybe one day you will enjoy it again everyone is different your still a city fan .

I'm fairness I can respected those who never went while we were in red, that was the only protest in my opinion. Only thing the rebrand proved is success bring out the majority.

I don't understand not going back now back in blue or not backing a chairman who seems to at last be doing right by the club but its all about opinions and people can do what they like.

I'd like to hope I never hold a personal grude to the extend that my own agenda is more important than the actual issue.
