Give the guy a break! I hated him for the rebrand but he reversed it and I've forgiven him. He's never let us down since as an owner and now we stand on the brink of a return to the Premier with our best ever manager at the helm. Thank you Vincent, let bygones be bygones. You deserve our respect and best wishes from here on in

VT was public enemy number 1 in my eyes. I didn't go once in the Prem season. I had been waiting to see us in the top division ever since my first game in 1968, but disagreed so much with the red that felt the club wasn't ours anymore. Now I take my hat off to VT for giving us our identity back. I fully support him now whether we go up or not. F.T.J. !!!

But the genuine question is. Did he forgive you??
1) doesn't turn up to matches
2) never apologised, reversed out of necessity

And the genuine answer is 'why do a small minority still hold such hate'. FFS you would think the man had slept with your wife and took a dump on your kids.

FACT most owners would have walked away a long time ago and let City rot, I really can't get my head around why some can't see the bigger picture. Roll on the 'that's because you can't be a true fan's' replies.

Why would he turn up for matches when all he got was abuse?

Yep sorry mate, not aimed specifically at you :ayatollah: but the way a small minority act and feel it was just my way of trying to put things in context.

It was a blip in the long history of CCFC, even at the time i knew it would only ever be a temporary low point with either Tan putting things right or the next owner.

We could now not be in a better place and like it or not Vincent Tan deserves some recognition for that and if not recognition how about the haters say nothing and let everyone else enjoy it.

If some refuse to let go, fine but it's now done to death and like it or not 95% of fans have moved on.

I've no time for what he did and believe all the money he has invested are made up of debts at a massive interest. He caved in to fan power and , fair play to Slade, the manager realised it was destroying the club. As I've Saud before we need to follow the Bundesliga model in future, with fans owning 51% of the club. If the likes of Dortmund can do it.....we've hardly seen him at the ground haven't we? Let's have owners totally committed to the club we love - US!

it was a necessity for the club to move forward and was the first step to us being where we are now.
not a necessity personally for VT who is wealthy enough to have had us treading water in red .

They weren’t lining up to take us over. We were close to liquidation not just administrators coming in. We were fooked.

I still don’t know how Riddler persuaded TG to get Tan on board but I’m glad he did.

Just having a dig without knowing the facts? Plus bundesliga model wouldn't work here as premiership is light years ahead regarding money who would invest knowing fans could veto any decision owner wanted to make?

A long time ago now but I'm sure Riddler wasn't the one who got TG/VT on board. I remember something about Borley flying out to Malaysia.

Tony Blue Williams was in court at the HMRC hearing. There was no money to continue running a club, not even close.

Initially it was Borley but I think as chairman Riddler actually got them over the line I think. I could be wrong.

TBH it was so long ago I can't remember the full story but I'm sure it was someone else initially who found TG and Riddler jumped on the bandwagon and claimed the credit, as usual
