Martyn, I can't stand Leeds, but I honestly feel for their fans and it will be interesting to see what their fans do about it
A mate of mine is a Leeds fan and said that by 7 o’clock this evening 55 THOUSAND fans have signed an online petition against the badge. If we had galvanised that sort of reaction at that speed then we may never have changed to red.
I’m not a lover of Leeds at all, but you have to admire their reaction to this - it shows our fans up a bit over the half-hearted opposition to red.
you do realise theyve had more badges than Billy and they used to play in Blue.
OUR response as poor as it was got a result...i think they still play in the rebrand white shirts ?
Totally agree they are the original rebranders. I will give credit where it’s due they have a great following home and away through good and bad times, but not many if any of there fans have walked away from the club for good for having a badge or color change.
Ahh but it happened in revie era so doesn't count! Sheffield w not happy either as whilst play in red & black they've lost traditional red black stripes same as several other clubs have lost traditional kits for more plain colours! That's football owners today no respect for fans.
doesnt count..? thats about right..its ok to call wolves wolveselona...but these clowns bought into a white kit because they thought it would turn them into Real Madrid and its ok...

spurs havent changed their badge..or are spurs fans being favourably to ours, the thread is about leeds
i really dont care mate but do care that our fans get put downs on a daily basis ..and even when other clubs are an ongoing circus people find a way of comparing our fans poorly..
for the record there was just as big an initial reaction to our rebrand to the billy the badge episode at Leeds.
and Tan did actually climb down almost imediately. but added the 100 million investment would not go ahead , which made many re think their stance.

Yep, on the Tan bit!![]()
Also on some of the other stuff but just remember that every set of fans will take a rise out of their rivals when the opportunity comes up. It was our turn with the rebrand, it was Hulls turn with the Hull City Tigers and now it's Leeds United with their silly badge. Like you, ultimately I don't give a stuff for other clubs issues and I don't take too much notice (unless its to wind up the Jacks)
As for the spurs thing, I was just pointing out that 'change' happens and is almost inevitable. How practical and sensible that 'change' is will be the catalyst for the tone of reaction from its fans
Ultimately, it is for Leeds fans to sort and others can only mock and 'points score' in the meantime!

not your usual standard chief - there's no sexual innuendo, and very little mockery
