Without Tan, the club would have been shut down before he even had a chance to turn us red. I assume you remember the out of control debt, winding up orders and court cases that have gone away since Tan got on board.
I have a season ticket and do a 250 mile round trip to games because I support Cardiff City - not because I’m part of a so called ‘red brigade’.
This.
Neil, lots of selective memories who only want to admit to the bits (usually negatives) that suit them. The real 'supporters' stayed despite the horrid rebrand and eventually it got overturned. That, surely, was the time to move on and take the club forward rather than bleating on about what no longer applies?
The security of the club's future was pretty much non-existent before Vincent Tan (a non-football man, so there was bound to be some naivety) came in from the blue to rescue us. He made mistakes (two massive ones in the red rebrand and the apparent 'dissing' of the club's fans) but I believe he has learned lessons whether they are genuine or just a tool to get supporters back on board to make the club more saleable.
Either way, he won't be here forever and when he goes, the club itself will be in a far better position than when he arrived and it's up to the backward looking fans to decide of they want to move on or constantly and negatively keep referring to things they cannot change, i.e. the past!

how you do figure that out? before tan we were already competing at the top end of the table with around £30m of debt wasn't it? i wonder what the debt is now! how much did the new stand cost (which we are likely to never regularly need).
warnock has papered over the cracks since he sorted the footballing side of things out, but that is independent of tan's running of the club behind the scenes. just as the glazers couldn't reasonably take credit for the outperformance of the team under fergie, neither can tan of warnock.

Well I for one have probably been one of Tan's biggest critics and I hated the rebrand with a passion but, I continued to attend games despite hating all of the Premiership season. I've never subscribed to the view that we should be grateful for Mr Tan for investing in the club and bailing us out because he didn't do it out of altruism. If that was the case then of course he deserved heaps of credit. He saw an opportunity and basically it became a business partnership; he gave us something we needed i.e money and we have him something he needed at the time i.e. the kudos of owning a soon to be Premiership club at an affordable price. There was also the small matter of the millions he was expecting to make in South East Asia through merchandising the "Red Dragon" brand. His plans were shown to be naïve at best and utter folly if he had persisted.
However, I agree entirely with your post. I believe just about everyone deserves a second chance and in fairness the man appears to have learned from his mistakes and is managing the club with respect and responsibility. He's returned us to blue and, after silly mistakes in the past he has installed one of the best Championship managers of all time at our club. He even turned up recently to see us recently wearing a blue top! Respect!
Whilst I'll never treat the man as some sort of God for saving our bacon and give him the adulation he craves, I am not that crass to deny he deserves our respect and maybe forgiveness. There's no point in being twisted and bitter over something long gone and everyone can make mistakes. That's why I think a show of support for Tan would help everyone to move on, heal the differences and make our club stronger. Who knows it might help Tan put more money into the club.

What mallo said rings true about the stewards, that’s ripe for a hidden camera documentary if ever I saw one. Surely someone can sort that out. Is it right to have stewards who hate the fans, they should all be fans surely.

What an idiotic statement to say "True fans disappeared". True fans would not disappear, they would follow Cardiff City FC through thick and thin like I have for years. For gods sake give up this rebranding excuse.![]()

We were in court in the process of being wound up when Tan stopped it happening. History not your strong point?
The new stand wasn't funded by the the club either it was a grant for hosting the super cup.
Tan has said he'll leave the club debt free.
Your whole post is completely flawed.
