Was Joe Ledley in talks and/or close to signing a deal as a reserve player? It seems he may have been but wanted to take over Noone's wages for similar on-field impact...next to none!

In all seriousness, whether Joe was/is or isn't close to signing for Neil Warnock, surely people will now see exactly what he is about?

He's played the field over the summer thinking he is more valuable than he really is and it has backfired spectacularly as it stands, so now he will 'consider' Cardiff City FC as his 'Port in a Storm' and that (for me at least) simply isn't on!

I was never in favour of a return but (as stated) I support the manager in his decisions and I know he will do what is best

However, whilst some will (rightly) say Joe is entitled to look for the best deal, I feel that it should be a little different when it comes to his hometown club and he has, to date, shown little real interest in joining us; hoping instead to land a lucrative final deal elsewhere

As a loyal City supporter of many years I abhorred the way he left the club he once supported/played for and whilst I understand "it's just the way football is" I abhor the way he conducts his business and I note the comment above (quote): "Joe wants to talk after the international break...!" although I find that increasingly unlikely after the two excellent loan signings made today!

but it is the way football is . and what seems unforgivable today is forgotten tomorrow . no better example of this than the following quotes...for many years i thought he { Diouf } was the gutter type. i was going to call him a sewer rat but that might be insulting to sewer rats..i think he is the lowest of the low and wont be at Blackburn much longer, i hope he goes abroad because i wont miss watching him.he is a nasty little person. by August 2012 Warnock had signed Diouf for Leeds, now calling him a ..matador..

Someone I know spoke to Rob Phillips this evening and said Warnock has offered him the chance to just train with the squad while keeping 'options' open.

If you got offered a job in Primark in your home town, on lower than present wages, would you jump at it ? or would you consider other jobs ?

or, as you are in no rush and have a family to think about, and it is likely to be the last move of a short (but well paid career),

would you look around and study the best options for you and your family ?

Put yourself in the players shoes. None of us are likely to have the same choices. None of us know players personal situations.
So it is very unfair to criticise.

Very true about his personal situation. Who says he wants to play for Cardiff anyway?
He is a far better palyer than the 2 loanees we now have. Played consistently at a higher level for years, infact all his career.

Feeney is a Championship relegation team player - always has been, look at the teams he has played for.
Bryson has had a long term injury. Has he recovered? Never played above Championship level.
Both are the same age as Joe Ledley.

Complaining about the way Joe ledley left? But no complaints about Bruna Manga who waited for almost a year before signing a new contract , when he eventually realised no one else wanted him. Remember after his injury in Africa Cup game? He claimed it was an injury that would keep him out for 6 months.He didn't want to even return to Cardiff, but sit out his final 6 months of his contract in France. Only returned when he was ordered to by the club, and then made a miraculous recovery .
