M'boro isn't a very big place and anywhere north supports the big two. We on the other hand have a huge area with no rival support, you can't really count Newport, a sad fact that over 90% of the population of Cardiff never go, never mind the valleys, vale and beyond. It's a shame because it's a thriving growing city at the moment and a well run successful club could link in with that, never does though.....I reckon 26875.

My argument about being based in areas with huge populations is thst they have a bigger pool of potential walk ups

100% Correct Goats![]()
Sheffield United had nearly 27,000 v little Brentford, We've got Aston Villa![]()
Wolves had nearly 30,000 v Boro, holidays never stopped them getting that crowd, then we will hear its October cold, then its Xmas everyones shopping, then its Jan everyone skint.
If it was Man United/Liverpool/Man City/Chelsea/ Spurs/Arsenal home etc funny it would be full then, with no excuses.
Warnock and the Bluebirds deserve big crowds![]()

It really frustrates me how Cardiff as a club do not get at least 30,000 each game. As another poster has said, the majority of people in Cardiff do not attend or give too shits about watching the City. I have people I work with who were born and live in Cardiff who actively dislike Cardiff and I can't understand that. They would rather sit at home on a Saturday and watch all the PL scores come in.
I have mates who love football but won't go to watch the city as they say its "crap" or "a waste of money" etc... Without the Valleys supporters, we'd get attendances between 5-10k each game.
The club have done everything to try and increase attendances this season and it is now up to fans to get all there family and friends to attend![]()

I'm hoping we can hit anything between 28-30k against villa but I feel we'll be lucky to hit 25k

Yet the same people who probably say 'it's crap and a waste of money to watch us' are the same people who turn up for the BIG games or when we have success! And for some that don't I wonder if they have ever even tried it! Perhaps they have heard from other people it's crap and are just taking there word for it - but I wouldn't be surprised if they've never been to a city match and still make such comments! How do they know it's crap and a waste of money? How would you know if you've never been? For people who are born and bred in Cardiff and are football fans - I can't u der stand why they wouldn't get i to Cardiff? Ok fair enough if all your family are Liverpool fans for example...then perhaps they have been swayed towards another team but it doesn't really make sense to me to be born and bred in Cardiff and support another team but each to there own I guess. It makes u wonder if there was another big club in Cardiff would it make things better or worse for attendances? Say Cardiff City V Cardiff United? Lol.
