Relegated We are 11 points safe with 17 games to go and weve got more than enough to stave off relegation we only need another 4 wins from 17 games and a couple of draws. If Warnock couldnt manage that with the squad hes got now then he doesnt deserve backing.

I like Neil Warnock as a person, I think hes an OK manager, certainly what we needed this season but do I think hes a manager with backing who can get us pushing for promotion? No I dont. Most of his 7 promotions were 20-30 years ago.

Also, I think hes doing and saying things that Russel Slade would have got crucified for. Couldnt be arsed to get out of bed for the cup game, went to bed on transfer deadline day then bemoans the fact an agent didnt call him back even though he had 40 missed calls

The sad part of your post is "no ambition to finish in the play offs". We are just 11 points adrift, teams have gone on far better runs than is needed by us to reach the play offs, but I agree, there is no ambition and there was no ambition at the start of the season either. I do not think there will be any ambition next season either. The main focus of the club is reducing the debt, not a bad thing, but fans need to realise that just like the last 50 years (apart from one), this club will not be in the top flight anytime soon.

as i said in the Warnock disgusted thread yesterday . im not sure Warnock was bothered with deadline day.
he had a rant about the FA arranging games,then throws in a kip, 40/20 missed calls while asleep. agents not ringing back. plus of course we could have tried to re arrange the game for wednesday not like nobody knew the game/deadline clash in advance ,sounds to me like someone not really that bothered about new players.

I highly doubt it. I could have got a lot further in my career if I was a yes man and just said the right thing but thats not my style. Ive seen many people get a leg up by being a kiss arse and saying the right thing but thats not me I say what I think, boss or not.

However Ive worked my way up the ladder by being logical and having commercial awareness and even though im an argumentative c*nt the boss still knows im good for the business. In our current position in the league, and financially, it makes financial sense to wait until the summer.

The same people were saying the same thing last season, and probably the season before. Then they were confident that we would be in the top two this season, play offs at least. The realistic people on here who knew that we had absolutely no chance of promotion were accused of club bashing and being pessimists. I call it being realistic, and the average bloke up the local pub could see that this squad was nowhere near good enough to challenge the top teams. The same thing will be brought up again this time next season, and the season after when it becomes obvious that once again we will be missing out on a top six place, and the same people will be saying we are building for the following season. I don't have a problem with the club slashing costs and reducing it's huge debts, but I am realistic enough and accept that while this is going on, we are not going to be able to bring in players with the quality to take us to the top.

When it comes to spending money we can't compete with bigger clubs than us in the championship like Sheffield Wed, Leeds, Derby,Forest,Norwich etc we should though be able to compete with comparable size clubs to ourselves such as Bristol city, Brentford, Rotherham and Burton Albion
