We have to if we want to have some quality still in this team and even Warnock wants to keep him.

It's been said on this thread that we actually had a defence today. My take would be we actually had a holding central midfield in Bamba. He was immense and gave plenty of protection to our defence. He broke up many Villa moves. The defence didn't need to come and follow Villa front men dropping as he was there to pick them up. Excellent selection by NW

I'm glad you posted that - I was beginning to think that I was the only person who noticed that Bamba was playing as a defensive midfield player in front of the back 4 rather than as a 3rd centre back! Warnock has used him in this role before so it was not a new experience for him.
