I always found Marshals weakness was not commanding his box at set pieces, was always his main flaw as a keeper. But his shot stopping was second to none in my humble opinion, maybe if he had the all round game he would be a top half prem keeper.

He'll be 32 in a few months. I don't buy into this goalies go on forever theory, he is on the downgrade. They rely on their reflexes and the 27 year old Marshall was at his peak the last time he was in the premier league. Of course each person is different and there are exceptions but how many of the top half teams have keepers who are older the Marshy ?
Citeh's will stop them qualifying for the champions league.
A few years ago he was a bottom premier league class, but now top/mid championship and we were paying a lot for that.
I am in the minority but i thought the club did a good bit of business. We are not a club going for promotion anymore, we need to be in the rebuilding stage finding the next Marshall and Whitts for a bid over the next few seasons.

I hope and pray he is top of Warnocks targets list. Would love to see him come back. Class keeper for us just hasn't worked out for him since he moved.

Marshall was never good coming out to crosses but then in the second half pulled off a world class save to remind me why we all liked the guy as he was a great goal stopper. And yes we miss him terrible

No one has mentioned that Hulls stupid centre half barged into marshal instead of letting Marshy deal with it

my remark was sarcasm, no he doesnt comand his box he relies far too often on his reflexs which are 2nd to none, but some of them wonder saves AND goals conceded are the result of other aspects of his game being poor.
