I think it would be a great idea for FIFA to FORCE every team to wear a WHITE POPPY! No if nor buts you just gotta wear it. f**k all the political shit, let's keep politics out of sport but let's solemnly remember all the innocents far and wide who have been mutilated and murdered through warmongering and those that have sacrificed their lives so that the elite may prosper.

There's only one world for all of us friend and it's a fact. That's why the white poppy was introduced in the 30s because it carries an apolitical message. It is a symbol of remembrance for all war dead. What more could anyone want? You need to read your history if youcannot see that the red poppy is tinged with political slant and has been used as such. By the way, I see no problem in people wearing red poppies in their private lives; many are unaware of its political connotations, however I do not like them being used politically. It's a football match ffs!

Seeing the front page of the Sun, clearly politicizing the poppy has really made me think on this.

Then seeing all the furore, people like Annis posting poppies everywhere, has made me come to the decision that I will never wear a poppy again.

I will remember those who fought and died in my own way, I don't need the attention of having to broadcast to everywhere how proud I am.
