He has got it right for the last few years Gareth. Thats the point.

But well done for seeing the obvious tonight for once.

Lol. How ironic a comment. Gareth are you in Swindon by any chance I am so I dont have to be faceless. :-)
If there's a late pub near you I come but you a drink so we can celebrate together. If you not glued to you keyboard that is. ;-)

That's a matter of opinion. Tonight we were superb. Best performance under Coleman. Dominated like we did v Israel away against stronger opposition. It's a shame coleman wasn't braver against England. The formation tonight allowed Allen and Ramsey so much time on the ball plus Vokes was an outlet up front. Hopefully Coleman goes positive in last 16. We can make quarters no problem if we play to out strengths. If we make semis Coleman deserves a knighthood.

Could have been five or six tonight in what I thought was almost a perfect performance. I predicted we would lose by two, so whoever we play next I am going to predict us losing by three, and in the quarter finals my prediction is to lose by four. If only we could have held on to our half time lead against England, they would be on their way home tomorrow. Hope Ireland do well tomorrow.

Agree with you on most. Not sure about hoping n Ireland winning tomorow could push germany to 3rd and then we might get them. Lol.

Well no it is not opinion really is it, we qualified from our group (in 2nd place just missing out on top spot to Belgium) with 1 defeat in the 10 games conceeding just 4. We then became the first British side to win their opening game at the Euos ever, we have just topped the group winning 2 out of 3 only losing to England by a solitary goal in the last minute and finishing it off with the joint biggest win of the tournament to date. Thats sounds like getting it right to me, it would be amazing to try and argue against it.

Lets hope we get Albania (who are no push overs btw) and have a decent crack at the last 8. The fact a fan of a nation of 3 million can type the above is truly remarkable.

Hope it is Albania or a really weak team. Get to quarters with a player like Bale then who knows what can happen.

Pity we've only managed the joint biggest win so far to date. Hopefully we will put that right in our next game.

And a manager like Coleman ;)

Lets put this to bed now. Onwards and upwards. I just hope people will take defeat in the same manner they take victory, this is a long term plan and something that has been building for a good few years. This is just the beginning of the journey and a defeat in the last 16 or last 8 will do nothing to derail that.

£784 returns, most nervous I've ever been not wanting Wales to score another goal, oh the irony

Tactics absolutely bang on once again last night. Battered the 2nd best team in the world 3-1 to reach the SEMIS OF EURO 2016 in what Lineker described as "The greatest British performance in European history"!

Coleman now head and shoulders the most successful manager in Welsh footballing history, fully deserving of his new contract and just as Ranieri is to club football, Coleman is a shining light to the rest of World International football in how to galvanise a squad and utilise a team with players from all levels.

What an achievement, what a night. :tandragon:

Rambo and Davies are massive losses for us, so don't see us getting past a well drilled Portugal side. With our resources, losing two key players like that is the equivelant of a 'on paper' strong side losing half a team. Seems so unfair to be suspended for 2 yellows in 5 tournament games, hardly a punishable lack of discipline. Although with this side, and as Coleman rightly said "never be afraid to dream".

Can't disagree and I'm happy to admit I got it wrong.

The yellow card rule is harsh. We can get over losing Davies but losing Ramsey may be a blow that we can't cope with as he has been our best player.

Fair play to you Gareth.

I think both will impact massively on our system. Williams is the solid center back with Chester and Davies the more mobile footballing defenders beside him. We are probably going to have to replace him with Collins who lets face it, is a bit of a hoof merchant. Ramsey needs no explanation, he is a beast in the centre and I may even be tempted to put Bale there as I don't think either Jonny Williams nor King can come close to filling the role he does, which is arguably the most important to the way we play. Huge ask now but a realistic chance to find ourseves in a final.

Got to say Gareth rang me up straight after the game the other night as he was on his way home from the pub and he said to me in a slurring type way that he loved Ashley Williams, Chris Coleman, and even Michael Gove.

I'm a legend in my own lunchtime chief. I'd need 5 pints, 2 bottles of red and a bottle of scotch before loving Mr Gove.

We lost to England in the second group game, who proved themselves to be bottlers and shit. The thread was a valid question at the time

Let's dig out past threads on the 0-3 loss to Sweden shall we and have a laugh on a few poster's expense? NO it belongs to the past :ayatollah: :bluebird:

Wales losing by a solitary goal in the last minute of a game, to one of the big guns of European football (regardless of eventual loss in the quarters), all after losing just 1 game in 10 in the qualifiers and after all we have put up with for the last 60 years... - will never be a valid basis for an argument regarding the aptitude of team or management staff im sorry. It was shocking and still is.

But I am sure some are excited at the prospect of us losing again so they can get back to their witch hunt. Fortunately the majority of world football will now see those comments for what they are.
