Sven it is Nash that leads the gestapos with his constant war with our fans.
Many has mentioned the acoustics of the stadium and it's strange one why our stadium is like that but when it's full then the Stadium comes into its own. But when a quarter full it's awful.

Nukes, I am 100% about the full- stadium being awesome and I'm in agreement that the Family Section should be in the Canton Stand and the 'singers' should be in the Grange End (as it always was!)

As yo say, we don't get full house crowds nowadays, so it would create a better atmosphere completely and create a bit of friendly banter between opposing fans!

Not sure what Wayne's issue is, but he appears to be doing the opposite to what is really needed

Nash's issue, is that he believes any form of fans showing passion will be seen as violent or anti-social behaviour of some sort. Everyone is in agreement that we don't want to go back to the bad old days, however, the club needs to come to an understanding that without singing and chanting , then the whole experience of watching live football is devalued.
It will take someone within the club, who recognizes that passion from the fans is a positive and work to bring in measures to resurrect it. They have managed to create it at Crystal Palace, the difference being, is that they have real supporters on the board, who understand what it means to get behind the team, so it can be done.

Re: ' Our Fans our atmosphere '

Without doubt this is the reason why a lot of our stay away fans can't be bothered to attend home games anymore and if we get the singers next to the visiting fans this will improve the dire current atmosphere and many of our fans will return.

Wayne Nash! Why does that name appear to come up EVERYTIME there is something anti-supporter/atmosphere going on???? :?

Chris,Because Nash is worse than Zero tolerance, just wants happy clapping and no singing, he does not want football, he believes we go there to watch a game only and you don't need singing or rivalry , I argue about this every time I see him. Also he was until recently a Man United season ticket holder, even though years ago he use to go in the vans with the lads from Tredegar and dare I mention Stoke away.

Nash has the final say on all this and there lies the main problem.

This is spot on, we are all beating ourselves up but it's true 3/4 full it's loud but we have extended the stadium and decreased the attendance were all spread out and it's almost impossible at times no matter how hard you try to sing. U need numbers.

Is this our final challenge with the club? They do seek to be listening.

Isn't the reason Nash won't swap the family stand with the Canton stand because of the cost extra stewarding, I think that's the reason given. Personally I think it would add a couple of thousand on the gate due to season ticket sales and it will galvanise everyone. The Ninian and the Canton can bounce off each other. I sit in the Ninian near to the away fans now, it's shite, absolute shite.

I say swap the ends and warn fans very clearly that any misbehaviour in terms of trying to get to the away fans through the segregation or anything thrown in their direction will result in a very lengthy ban. I can't see many City fans wanting to be banned and that way only the real idiots get punished. At the moment we are seeing City fans getting ejected for persistent standing, swearing and even throwing up the odd wanker sign gets a stern telling off.

Got to agree, it would without doubt galvanise and add to the gate and especially youngsters at £99 quid and the match experience. The days of trouble long gone, fans have moved forward, the club and old bill must also

When I questioned why I was getting grief at half time for me stood for all of 5 mins was told the security box had voiced over the walkie talkies that I was picked out as being a risk and looked threatening towards the pne fans. What a load of Bollocks these guys in the box want to chill out and stop barking orders to these stewards who have to follow up on such nonsense, was also told if kept standing a snatch squad would be evicting me, if it wasn't so funny I would of belted one of them that's for sure. It has become a joke in the Ninian stand and am sure it is affecting the atmosphere why are they so full on.

Surely if I had walked out they would of won, the funniest thing is though that when we were 2-0 up and the game was almost over I looked around and there was probably 50 boys stood I turned to the steward and said , well are you going to tell this lot to sit like you told me he said there's too many now to police it, so I think there our answer is all stand and then they will do jack shit.

We've had debate about standing in ground! canton stand is for standing nowhere else in ground, so if want to stand go to canton end simples! Don't blame cub as allows standing in a designated area.

Re: ' Our Fans our atmosphere '

Sun Feb 28, 2016 9:07 pm

The vast majority on here agree that the Grange and Canton needs to be swapped around to even start to get back our atmosphere. I know Vince has stood up and taken an active step with his drums and flags (what happened to the flags ? ) But to me that is doomed to failure because it's a few songs and no banter. How can you have banter with the away fans if neither can hear each other ? I know some will say just sing songs to get the players going but to me and many others having banter is all part of the match day experience. Winding each other up I hate to say it but it's FUN!!.
The club won't listen as they are not interested and will not truly listen to the fans. They won't even discuss it and there lies the problem they are giving us half arsed baked solutions, stand in the Canton, sing in the canton, wave flags in the Canton, we don't want to do those in the Canton, we want to do that in the GRANGEND.

Re: ' Our Fans our atmosphere '

Sun Feb 28, 2016 9:30 pm

It would be a start if all those who felt passionately about getting the atmosphere back in the Ninian sat as together as possible, there must be at least 100 of us, we could take up as many ST in the rear seats in 117/116 as possible, so standing would not be so much of an issue as it could be. Crystal Palace started that section with 50 and it grew and grew. We now have the opportunity to do the same as there are relatively few ST holders, I'm in row X and would be prepared to move back. Annis, your lot are about 10 rows in front, would you be up for moving back?

You can hardly hear the away fans from the Canton end and they probably cannot hear us... This kills the banter and the singing don't last because you can't hear anything coming back

It's rubbish on his part, first of all any extra costs will be covered by the extra season tickets sold, I bet a sizeable number of people will be convinced by their mates to come back if the ends swapped. Secondly there need not be any extra security if you lay down the law early on. Tell people if they go over the top and attempt to get at the travelling fans and throw coins at them they will be banned from the stadium for a long time. Problem solved. Most will be grateful that the club have listened to the fans and won't want to spoil it for everyone.

Well, in the grandstand I could hardly hear the PNE fans, but the Canton was loud and proud. But it isn't like it used to be.

Unfortunately most of the chanting from the Canton is not the sort that will get the rest of the crowd going, well in the Grandstand at least. Times have changed. The profile of the crowd is very different to what it was 10 years ago. The new stadium has changed things. There are lots more women now for a start. The old grandstand used to rock at times, but you won't now find many in the grandstand willing to sing about the parentage of Swansea fans in the way the Canton does.
