We are the 5th richest economy in the world and we are allowing this to happen on our doorstep? We have a moral obligation to help these people who want to make this country better, these people are fleeing war and persecution and are among the poorest and most desperate in the world. We have more than enough resources to give these people a sanctuary and safety and give them a chance to start a fresh.

Migration has played a key role in making the UK what it is today. If we all take a look at our family history then the vast majority will have a lineage that goes back to foreign blood.
It goes without saying, this situation needs to be managed effectively but I am more than happy for refugees to come into this country if they are willing to contribute to our society. That said, I'd happily export a number of wasters who are "British born and bred" that offer absolutely nothing to our society. Can we offer trades?

But surely the there has to be protection for UK citizen's? I would like to help the most vulnerable refugees (for example the orphaned children) but I don't agree that any migrant who fancies living in the UK by claiming to be a refugee should get the chance.
You correctly point out that our history is littered with waves of migrants including the Vikings who raped and pillaged their way across Britain. I would prefer if we avoided the 21st Century version as shown by those allowed into Germany and properly vetted these people before allowing admittance.
There is also terrorist threats to consider and the last thing we want is to let in a migrant who then takes part in mass killings like 7/7 or Paris.
Asylum is also supposed to be a temporary measure when safety is guaranteed until the home country is safe. It always baffles me why these people cannot return when their country becomes stable. I would also like a condition that any migrant/refugee who commits a serious crime or act of terrorism is deported no matter what and hard luck on them if their lives are at danger if returned to their homeland.

I believe in the EU project although there are things I would change. I do believe the EU is racist and elitist, I am unsure which way to vote. As for your pathetic and sexist comment about Leanne Wood, whatever. I believe in a free and socialist Wales where refugees are welcome and can live without fear and a country where the gap between the rich and poor is narrower.
What political party do you vote for? Does it begin with a B or a U?

Another generalisation. I actually volunteer down the local soup kitchen and food bank, a place where homeless people of all nationalities can come and have a good meal for free. I was there on Christmas day actually, do you do anything for the homeless? I don't believe anyone should be living on the streets of Britain, we are rich enough to look after all.

It's not bloody racist not to let people who don't belong in this country in ffs
Would you go to parts of Cardiff and say "hey you brown man, you don't belong here, bugger off". I doubt it. It's racist to not want someone in "your" country because of their colour or creed.

I won't be clicking that poisonous right wing rag not fit for toilet paper but they are only demolishing part of the Jungle. The main part will remain.
