Remember the Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley results at home just before Christmas - it was embarrassing

Someone above said that Slade has "passion to succeed". Well where is that then? He stands in the technical area looking like a right mellon with his arms folded or hands in his pockets. I don't see any passion whatsoever.

Can't see where anybody has said we'll go into decline if Slade left and managers standing on the touchline shouting and waving their arms don't necessarily make better managers, than those who just stand there!

SWilliams wrote:He's still a tactical dinosaur. Its taken him two years to try anything other than 4-4-2. Why wont he give the development team some opportunity or let Kennedy have a game. Why did he put Revell on the bench yesterday - I don't know how he even made it as a professional footballer.

We're still playing 4-4-2 or a variation of it in a 4-4-1-1 and whilst I've no idea what Kennedy has done to deserve not getting more run outs, he's now out on loan, which may or may not be Slade's decision. As for Revell being on the bench yesterday, what other striker options (Apart from Saadi, who's hopefully making his way back to fitness) do we have at the club, that only you know about?

SWilliams wrote:We normally look awful when we play at home - that's why none of the floating fans are turning up.

What would be lost by putting Trollope in charge until the end of the season? He's already on the payroll so no additional cost, we wont get relegated, so what would we lose? A play off spot is possible, but in my view, under current home form very unlikely.

Whilst our football may not well be exhilarating stuff, we're now unbeaten at home in 10 league matches. Our away form is what's been holding us back in the main until the last couple of games this season and if we can start turning some of the home draws into wins as well, then hopefully we can push on into the Play Off places!

I said we could decline if Slade left and not get a good replacement in to be fair.

So you didn't say that we would decline then? :D

No but could. ;)

That's not the same then! :D

No its not Muttley. :D

:D

Let's be honest!! And I've said this a few times on this forum. .... Who would fancy coming to manage us at this time?? Slade is getting a bit of shit for doing a decent job. And you think a known face would want to come here and work under these conditions

To be honest, I'd love to see Slade stop complaining about players being sold, and use our damn youth. We KNOW we have talented players in the development team, having seen it for ourselves and having seen them do it on loan at other clubs, so why not try them on our bench?

Jesus, th bloody irony that Slade is the one pretty much saying our young players aren't good enough for Championship-level football yet.

Agreed. That was the point I was making in an earlier post. Slade puts Revell on the bench who has been nothing short of useless whilst at City. Yet he won't give talented youngsters like Healey, O'Sullivan or even Kennedy an opportunity. Other posters have also asked "who would work for a Tan" to justify why we are stuck with Slade. An obvious answer to me is Trollope - he already works for Tan.

Annis, I really worry about this. Parents will be looking at their kids who are with us, and see how little opportunity there seems to be for youth to develop at City, and just take them elsewhere. Hell, the kids are probably noticing it for themselves.

Slade knew he had little to spend when he arrived, and knew we'd be shipping people out. He should've gone straight to the youth, and brought them through. I've no idea of his track record at other clubs, but maybe someone knows if Slade had any real history at developing youth players into key squad players?

Nice guy, but he has been clueless ever since he came here.

If we don't win at home at Saturday then the knives will be out again. There is so much shit going on behind the scenes and he has been made to look a fool by the owners with comments about transfers that he thought were happening over the past few weeks.

No matter what happens he will be here until the end of the season. I personally don't rate him, we should be at least 3rd-4th place this season, its a poor league and I think we have missed a great chance to go back again and solve some of our financial problems.

Shit tactics for the most of the season have cost us a lot of points and the majority of his transfers have been a waste of time. Saadi is the prime example, surly he knew about his situation with the injury, it would have been better to wait until next season to get him, we have basically wasted a lot of money on his wages as he was never fit in the first place.

When I read posts like this I realise how little the average fan knows about the running of a football club.If throwing kids in was the answer why do Manu and the like spend millions when they and the other top clubs arguably have all the best youngsters in the country anyway.Loaning our good youngsters out is giving them the chance to get league experience without doing any damage to our status.

I have said it for a good year or so.. the circumstances he come under and the hatred is petty and people can't even give him credit when he is due it.. too many narrow minded supporters.
