No it doesn`t.

The transfer embargo , which cannot now be lifted until at least the end of March and so only be of benefit in the Summer 2016 transfer window , prevents the club from paying any kind of fee for a player , be it a permanent transfer fee or a loan fee.

The 75% you refer to only relates to the wages of a new player coming in where the club is up to its maximum 24 qualifying players and has let a player go to take the number below that number. So , if Joe Mason was on £10k a week , the new player could be paid no more than £7.5k a week (including national insurance and any fee paid by the club to his agent).

At the moment , the club is below its 24 limit anyway.

Think it's 75% of out going players wages or £600k a year maximum ,so joe going out on your above guess of his wages would not interfere with the £600k maximum wage allowed

No it is the lower of the two figures which is the cap.

At the moment , the club can bring in any free player at no fee for a maximum wage cost of the equivalent of £600k a year.
If the club goes up to the maximum number of 24 qualifying players and wants to bring in someone else , then someone else has to go out first (either as a sale by Monday evening`s deadline or as a loan out). It is then that the 75% limit applies but also still the £600k cap , whichever is the lower value.

City have received in writing a £3mill bid for Joe Mason from Wolves and I believe the deal will go through today

Finally good business by Cardiff City, City paid about £250,000 for Joe Mason from Plymouth.

Excuse my ignorance, but if we sell Mason which I hope we do,what Wii happen to the transfer fee as we are under this ridiculous embargo, what would be our options?

He'll score goals there if used correctly

Is he worth £3m not a dogs chance at least £1.5m over priced but that's good for us

Hopefully club have someone lined up on loan or are we willing to give Healy a go up there?

We can't spend it on future transfers at this moment in time, although I don't believe for one minute Tan would off.
Tan/Dalman will say that it will go in to balance our books, which it will, but it will go eventually back to Tan who lent us the money we are now currently in debt for.

' Wolves make move after injury blows '

With Joe Mason said to be discussing personal details around his £3m move from Cardiff City to Wolves, Molineux manager Kenny Jackett looks keen to push any move through judging by his club’s current injury list.

Wales star David Edwards is out for three months with a broken metatarsal, new Polish signing Michal Zyro faces up to two months on the sidelines with a calf problem, while six other first-teamers are out.

“It’s a high list, as high as I’ve had since I’ve been here,” he said. “These things happen.”

Money can't go back to tan that's been swallowed up tan will never ever get his money paid back to him whilst he runs this club, there isn't a way possible for the club at present or in the not so distant further to service a loan note that high with 7% interest and remain profitable each season as we will need to make money to service that debt

Only way he is ever going to recoup some or all of that is to sell at reduced price or get promoted and sell up, it will take years and years otherwise for him to get a small proportion of what he is owed back

No your right, Mad man Tan will just go down in the clubs history as the man who ripped the club and its soul apart whilst laughing all the way back to Kula Lumpa in his red jump suit. bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Or the man who actually stepped in to save the club from the threat of liquidation? I don't seem to remember anyone else being in the wings to help out.

And it wasn't a case of facing administration but liquidation.

And for those who think we could do a Halifax or Wimbledon or Rangers etc and rise up the leagues -why would the English FA let a newly formed Welsh team in. It just wouldn't happen.

Tan has made mistakes, huge, huge f*cking mistakes of that I agree for sure.

But without him there was a very real risk of us not even having a club to support right now or if we did it being in the Welsh leagues against Rhyl etc. (At least Scott Young would be more at home - sorry Scott couldn't resist)

We're back in Blue, stabilised in the Championship, thankfully not in the headlines every week and are trying to cut our cloth accordingly for the first time in years.

Christ is no one else bored at all the negativity and swiping at Tan and Slade and the Club.

Let's f*cking move on and give the guy a break he wiped £13M (you could buy 13 million Boltons for that) off the club debt last year.

I know that doesn't make him the messiah bit he's hardly the f*cking anti-Christ either.

Besides he's in neck deep now as no-one will buy a Championship club for the amount he needs to get his money back (or just not to make a massive loss) so he won't going anywhere for a long, long time.

We might as well just move the f**k on and just get on with supporting the team.

I think if we can get the 3.5 million for Mason it'll be good business but I don't think we should be so hard on him. Yes at times he just hasn't performed for us this season but remember the good times hey? Remember that Wembley goal? He could turn out to be a fab player with abit of confidence thrown his way. I wish him well (apart from against us) in future and shame it's not worked out for him here.
