Interesting note about absence fans and I speak as someone born and bred in South Wales and a City fan for over 55 years. I have not attended a match for many years but living in Scotland is not conducive to being a regular. That said my interest in the club has reduced significantly and it is not results or quality of football, after all I have supported them thick and thin, but it is Tan. He has taken much of what I supported and made Cardiff his play thing, or perhaps now ex play thing. It is not the Cardiff I supported all these years but perhaps this is not helped by my absence. It did not happen before Tan though!

All very true, Tan for anything good he's done will only be remembered for the mess he's made. I think for a lot of fans the match day buzz, and connection to the club has gone. It will probably take a new owner with passion that can get the fans excited again, along with the younger generation of fans coming through. It all goes round in circles though you just have to keep supporting the club through good and bad. :ayatollah:

The Eddie May days wouldn't happen now, we as a club and fans are too corporate.

NP was one of the last bastions of old football, its gone (refuse to call it her) we are now a normal championship club, we caught up. little to do with Tan , Slade or the rebrand

You a have a valid point there, NP was an intimidating place for teams and visiting fans to come and us city fans thrived on it. We are now very much like other clubs of our size with the stadiums, atmosphere, etc. I do think though as we evolved all the stupidity around the club has put off a lot of loyal supporters, but like I said it goes round in circles and you just have to keep supporting through the good and bad times.

I do think everyone remebers NP in the good old days. The last few years were awful, atmosphere everything.

You must be made of money, to go all the way to Birmingham and pay to watch 9 against 11 it was always going to be hard :sladeout:

Small clubs have a small fan base. What more are you asking for Annis?

Surely you don't expect miracles ?

Unlike West Ham who have had reasonable owners Cardiff have had the opposite ever since I have been supporting them back in the early 70s. That is why we have small attendances.

I have stood in crowds of 50,000 at NP. Upton Park has not come close to that. That tells me we have the potential to become a big club. Sadly we have not had the right formula at the top to pull this off. The nearest we have got is Sam the Man and if he could have pushed us over the line who knows what sort of club we would be.

A lot thought Tan was the answer. A guy that came in when we were ready for it. How wrong they all were. The lesson learnt here is all the money in the world will not make you a big club BUT only the right leadership at the top will. We as a club have yet to receive that.

Modern football with Customers which is what tan called us so people will treat the club like it and who can blame them after the last few years at the circus club its been rotten to the core from the top down. As the saying goes you reap what you sow sadly.

This is a great post by Annis. Debate, fractured moaning, supporting, cowards, first pumping. SUPPORTERS.
We at CCFC never change. No matter what we might all say, the footie is better these past few months, more exciting with the shackles off. Slade seems to experiment but with no shape, and that must be a shambles for a player. I thank God that Manga is back so we can move forward out of our half, but Rails must stick with opposing players counterattacking. I love what's going on at the club, I love the drama, it's better than Hollyoaks on crack! We are all fans, even if some stay away at tines. The ones like us that turn up and support our team whatever the drama, well, we are the lucky ones, we get to see the shit tactics from Uncle Fester Slade , we get to scream at the nob refs, the opposing fans, the yellow peril bully stewards. I love the lot of it! Great post. Roll on Xmas month, bring it on!!!!
