At least he holds the ball up, and would have helped us defend corners, Ameibi was like Bambi on ice again and didn't contribute anything....

We need to get our strikers fitter to last the game.

This was a wasted chance against a Sheffield Wed side who were 2-0 down against a City team who were creating chances.
We need to press further up the pitch so we dont have to defend so much, nice to see the goals going in at last shame that there at both ends.
Going to be differcult to change in training as we have 3 games in week but needs to be done asap if we are to challenge top 6 for play offs. :bluebird:

Rob, I thought both Watts and Kenwyne tired early in the second half as well, up to them both were doing a great job :thumbright: and from there it all started to go wrong and we crumbled the more the game went on.

Very entertaining for once Paulh I will admit :thumbright: , but we threw 2pts away once again did we not?

Plus where was the crowd if Tan/Slade are doing such a great job?

I dont care less about the crowd. I go to matches and others can do what they like.

Its definately 2 points lost but hard to put your finger on what exactly happened. THey scored a good first goal to get them back into it. We had plenty of chances to put the game to bed when 2 0 up and that ultimately cost us i think.

Goodngame though, and i would have taken 4 points from these two home games so onwards to brentford! :ayatollah:

Agree, I thought it was a great game, and thought we were slightly unlucky not to win, but that's football ......

Jon Mapp I often wonder why people jump to abusing the manager when it's clear in some games that we're improving and we've had some games recently where the play has been excellent.

Yeah. It's down to russ as well. But the players making basic mistakes need to be called out as well.

Steve Perry
Steve Perry <>< How? Simple! A game of two halves: the Gunnars/Ralls partnership (the best cm at City) gave City an excellent platform for an hour but, still, Slade has little idea how to set up his side to defend a lead going into the last 30 mins. For the second home game in a row he should have gone 4141 with Manga between the two banks of four.

Gerry Gill
Gerry Gill Let's be honest here , we played well for 55 mins and had 2 very lucky goals , never a penalty and on the other off side , then missed 2 great chances jones scuffed shot and Gunner shooting over again offside IMO then Slade made changes and we lost the plot , so I'm glad of the point and very glad the official s were so very poor

Steve Perry <>< I was level with Pilkington. It was a well judged run onto a fine Ralls' through ball and not offside. I thought Westwood made a rash decision to commit though still the penalty was iffy.

Slow is not the word.

Took him more than 12 months to learn that Ralls should play in the centre of midfield and that Whitts should start on the bench!

Personally I thought their first goal was an awful goal to give away. The shot was scuffed and bobbled along the ground. From where I was sitting I thought that Marshall should have saved it easily. He went to sleep like all of them after we started brightly in the second half.

We were till asleep when they got their second. We woke up after that and looked like the team who could get the winner.

Overall an entertaining game but a disappointing result in the end for us.

And that Fabio would end up the backbone of his team, plus Gunnarson was a never say die player and that we needed pace in the team like Watts, who though we have only got till he is fully fit, so we won't know how good he really is?

Plus many many players never given a chance from Declan John to Guerra.

Ameobi, becoming a waste of time.

2nd penalty Hmm? Never really saw it.

Both accounts we were asleep, we did wake up,but then near the end they could of won it, Ian the game was there to be won today, 2pts badly lost.

There were two things that I thought RS was going to do today and that was keeping the same squad as last week and then changing formation as part of the game plan when we were comfortably up. I was pleased that he did the former but not the latter and that is what cost us. I really thought he would have learned that lesson by now as this is parks football tactics 101.

I enjoyed the game today but I'm not happy with a draw, as I thought that lessons had been learned in terms of tactics and in game management and that for me is the piece that is missing and cost us the points in a game that we had bossed for most parts.

RS is a good man-manager and a decent bloke. If I take the sentiment out of it, quite simply, he is not getting the best out of the squad in terms of results due to what appears to be a lack of overall tactical management and we are too easily sussed.

:ayatollah:

A very good post over all and a lot of sense, he is a decent bloke :thumbright: as to man-manager Hmm? Shades best players are mostly those that were already with us, his 15 new players, 3 max.

Annis, even the Wednesday fans travelling back are saying that it is rare to come back from 2-0 down away and to a squad that they regard as a 'big' team in terms of profile and potential quality - Carvalhal was the difference for them today.

When I say RS has good man-management skills I mean that he has good motivational skills which for me was proved when we came back from pre-season, as opposed to players that he's brought in - we looked like a different team and all credit to him foe winning the dressing room.

We have the quality in terms of players and a bench that's the envy of the Championship - the squad choice was right today but how many more times are we going to lose precious points through tactical error? Next up we have Brentford who are a point behind us and drew against a flaky Fulham today - it's a must win game for me and if I'm honest, so is Brum Friday. We cannot squander points by repeating the same lack of obvious tactical execution. We have the quality. They are motivated. Let's now sort the tactics and in-game management out.

Attacking wise we have been very good these last 3 games maybe just need to score more maybe Slade is going down the Kevin Keegan route score more than what we concede just not perfected yet.

Haven't been to many games this year but the football on offer today even in the windy conditions was better than last year. Disagree with some posters I thought their first goal came from nothing but was a good bit of skill from their striker. After that we just couldn't clear our lines and our dominant midfield from the first half couldn't get a foot in and we just went backwards. Another day we could have scored more but we are scoring from open play. Perhaps the absence makes the heart grow fonder but although disappointed with the result the front play was a lot more encouraging than earlier games this season

Our Footballers were left on the bench..

A team changes from 442 and he is left speechless, don't tell me Russ you never saw that coming.

It was getting tasty in the middle, time to bring on Dikgachoi, but no,

We're losing possession, time to bring on Whitts, but no

O Keefe was on bench not Digi but your point stands. I hope that was down to injury rather than selection by the way.

Great match. Slade made mistakes as manager again. He should have had a plan b. Once again, no plan b. Fabio should have come on earlier as Sheffield Wed started to bully us. Gunnarson was injured in the last 15 mins, so he should have brought on Dickashoi. THE MAIN REASON though is that our daft defender come captain centre back Morriston stays flat, retreats and DOES NOT PUSH UP!! We need the class and skill of Manga, now!!
