Me neither. I'd make do with what we've got, see the season out, and start again in the summer.
We need to be building some proper foundations like Swansea, Southampton, Palace and Leicester have done in recent times.
Just hoping to go up on a wing and a prayer with no proper philosophy, no proper plan just end up becoming a QPR and ending up in worst trouble or for getting promoted.
Clubs with no philosophy, foundations or a plan go up and come back down.
QPR, Watford and us for example.
Clubs with them stay up: pretty much the clubs you've listed.
Even Newcastle had a plan when they went up with Nolan and Carroll. It was only afterwards they through it all away and are now on the verge of falling apart completely.
I agree with you 100%. We need to plan for the long term and I would, as you said in another thread, give Bellamy a 1 year rolling contract with a 5 year plan outlined and have an annual performance review to see if he's still on track to achieve the aims after 5 years.

We're just working one week to the next at the moment. One game at a time. There's no direction and that's not all Slades fault it's the clowns running the show.

Week to week was week to week facing wind up orders for non payment of bills.
At the moment we are positively stable.

No one mentioned the operating although I dont call making signings then loaning them out within months, or not playing them at at all great operating. Having to pay up players multi million pound contracts just to get them off the wage bill is false economy also. May make the wagebill look better but the not the balance sheet. Tans fortunate to be in a position to afford to LOAN himself more money to pay for all his mistakes.
The week to week comment and lack of direction is aimed at our football philosophy but you wouldnt know that you dont even go anymore.

That old chestnut. Can't have an opinion if I don't go. By that definition there aren't that many who can have an opinion.
Week to week is exactly how the football side should run else we will be stuck playing out of form players. As usual your posts make no sense.
Also, it's not false economy to pay someone off to remove them from the wage bill. They figure is never what they would earn in wages over the terms of their contract, the club will also make significant savings on NI contributions, bonuses and PAYE. There is no way it's false economy plus it gets an unhappy player out of the club.

I have done and keep typing the display this post bit. It's my filter for you.
We have a football philosophy. Solid 442 hard working wingers. Target man plus one other up front. Not attacking football and in fact can be the opposite however it's developing slowly.

Maybe mod norms76 can shed some light.
I saw a bit of banter and polo getting schooled, then he lost his head as usual, then his mate norm stepped in to save him
