Re: The Syria poll

Glad my MP votes yes. We went back into Iraq 18 months ago to bomb and in 18 months no civilian casualties by the RAF because it's always been targeted bombing and as a result ISIS is getting pushed out of Iraq. However the lefties won't tell you that FACT will they!!!

It's a NO from me as we will once again bring terror back to our own Country
Tony Blair caused all this

They should have kept going in the first Iraq war and toppled Saddam when they had the chance. That decision left unfinished business in the eyes of the US and had a direct bearing on us going into the second Iraq war IMO

That's fair enough but what I'm saying Annis is that these people who are saying 'look what happened in Iraq' don't remember the last 18 months of targeted bombing which is becoming a success on the ground

There does appear to be a left wing agenda in this country, fuelled by the BBC. They play on the (natural) fears and concerns the general public hold about war generally and by proxy help fan the flames of the Jihadi propaganda machine

Re: The Syria poll

It should have been No. Other countries have been bombing Syria for over a year. Cameron said we have stopped 7 attempts at terror in the last year. BUT that is when bombing has been taking place. In my view the threat to the UK will not be diminished. I should think that Tony Benn is turning in his grave at his sons eloquent speach seeking to help take us into war. His father spent his life speaking against war! Shame on him.

What difference will us joining in the bombing make. It wont make us safer and we will be murdering lots of innocent Syrians. Also even if we did get rid of Isis what happens next in Syria?

I agree that it will show support for France, and I accept that. That is commendable BUT that is not a good enough reason to go to war.
It is England that voted for :bluebird: war with Syria. Both Scotland and Wales voted heavily against. We see very few pictures of the killed and injured in Syria in our media. Perhaps if we did then the vote may have been different. Its a shame that any MPs in Wales voted yes.

Can't get no worse, ISIS are baying for our blood whatever happens. Bomb the scum!

Do you want us to take in thousands more Syrian refugees?

Wipe out ISIS and then they can have their country back. ISIS need to be defeated just like the nazi's did. They won't just go away!

I don't want any refugees coming here so I won't support my country bombing theirs. It's not our fight sadly and we really need to concentrate on wiping ISIS out from our streets rather than another countries. Let the French, Americans and Russians wipe them out. This all about an ego trip for Cameron.

I think it is our fight as they killed 30 brits in Tunisia plus a few more in other attacks. I agree that we need to get very tough on extremism.

It started of with progress but Daesh evolved to the airstrikes. They've actually got closer to Baghdad and have almost taken anbar province.

Air strikes, as effective as they MIGHT BE, won't work. Saif it before and shall say it again, special forces and arming/training the kurds should be the option.

For a change I agree with you. f**k America f**k the turks and especially f**k the saudis.

As much as I despise the Russians, I'm with them on this.

Well to many this may be a surprise and I voted NO. Now TBH we should not be getting involved in the Middle East. Cameron's speech was so full of Crap. Saying ISIS was Muslim murderers ??? Well sorry Cameron they are Fooking Muslims, Muslims killing Muslims and that is normal for the Middle East. But he failed to say that these Muslims (ISIS) are butchering Christians on a massive scale. We have not learnt from history that in the Middle East that today's ally is tomorrow's enemy.
So no we should not be bombing Syria and we should not be allowing any Migrants / Refugees into Europe either not in a million years, they can't live in peace in there homeland so why invite them here to behave in the same way. Also there beliefs and ways over there belong in the 6th century so let them be,
The West caused this shit by invading and toppling the governments in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya. If I was to agree to bombing over there it would be a great big Nuke. So goodnight to you all :sladeout:

To me I'm not sure if bombing will be good or not. Personally I feel the best it could do is stem the tide of this extreme ideology. The worse will be more extremism.

I just feel more should be done in trying to change the mindset of these people. How we do that well.....like most ways you start at home.

You could never change there mindset. They follow one book, and seeing some verses then you can see why a lot of Muslims take the violent route. Like it or not the vast majority of Muslims around the world follow the hardline stance on Women, Gays, non believers, those that turn there back on there religion, and the use of Sharia law, Religion is the curse of this world but some are more evil than others.

So many post I'd like to reply to but still on my phone. Russia are the only ones who treat all groups as terrorists and they are. Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the US back ISIS as they're all Sunni Muslim (Obama is Sunni Muslim and I can show you the clip) and want Assad gone. Problem is you have Russia and Iran backing him.

It's a cluster f**k. The Paris shootings where 130 died, Obama came out and said "This is a set back" and not ISIS will be destroyed. Why did he make comment about "Set back"?, Its because wasn't expecting ISIS to attack the west but is happy to see thousands of Christians being raped and beheaded.

Turkey downed the Russian jet as Russia is hitting oil trucks and fields and hurting Turkey black market as ISIS gets in return money and weapons.

David Cameron and Obama and Anglia Merkel are complicit in this all. The EU wil pay Turkey €2.5 billion a year to stem the tide of Muslim immigration but are allowing Turkeys 70 Million Sunni (Sunni Muslims) Muslims to have free access to Europe and they will come in their millions so what the f**k is the point in paying €2.5 billion a year?, it's a con.

Not keen on Putin but he's going about kicking arse unlike David Cameron who voted the other day for strikes and when he got the green light all he's done is hit an oil field.

It's just an token jesture as he feels left out. We won't defeat ISIS with bombs, we need at least 1 million troops on the ground but that'll never happen.

Cameron says it'll take 3 years?, really? So we defeat ISIS then what?

Will the British, France,USA try and remove Assad? Good luck with that when Russia and Iran and backing Assad.

The only way we the UK will be safe is to stop Muslim immigration and stop British citizens from returning.
