It does seem a weird time to loan him out, though :?:

Got to love arm chair managers !

If they are all other managers signings why did the majority want ole out ?

Lets all pick as many holes as we can to make the players feel like shit
that will boost morale.

Ned,That's his level and another bad signing by Slade.

Not really a bad signing though is it? He was a player Slade knew well and a safety signing if you will, a manager always brings in someone he knows to look to. Never had a lot of goals in his locker but I think he's got a good goals return for us considering his opportunities and what he came to us on. Not to mention it was minimal risk, wasn't the fee something like £75k and his wages are under £10k? So I wouldn't say he was a bad signing at all.

Doyle and Revell for me were always Div 3 players at best bottom of the Championship players, Slade had made 14 signings and only, max 2 play week in week out, not good at all

Because the majority of players he brought in were signed for the purpose of cover. It's hard to improve on big money players with peanuts.

rumors that Waghorn from Rangers was linked with us. He's scored some goals for them but I don't think he's any better than what we have.

A lot of truth in that,Slade also asked for another strike and midfield player, I'm not saying he should have them going on his transfers so far, but surely if your not going to back your manager, then you have No faith in him?

Sums it up really. Another of Slade's signings who have been sent away from the club. I know he's not good, but it doesn't look good on Slade. You have to ask are the likes of O'Keefe next? Would not be surprised if this was made permanent in January.

Look at our starting 11 on Saturday:

Marshall - Jones signing
Peltier - Slade signing
Morrison - Solskjaer signing
Connolly - Malky signing
Malone - Slade signing
Noone- Malky signing
Gunnarsson - Malky signing
Ralls - Malky signing
Pilkington - Solskjaer signing
Mason - Malky signing
Jones - Solskjaer signing

That's only two of players that Slade has signed that were in the starting 11. It would be one if Fabio was fit, who was a Solskjaer signing. That team is made up of Malky's and Solskjaer's signings - that's worrying.

Spot on Ned You've certainly showed some facts there .

It doesn't mean Solskjaer is a good manager, just has an eye (and a Budget ) for a good player, same as Malky (although i do think Malky was a good manager with a Budget).

Dave Jones was a good manager with no money, Slade is reaching a similar level albeit with less attractive football.

What would we get if the club gave Slade a decent amount of money to spend?

Not saying Ole was a good manager. I had high hopes for him but it didn't work out.

Disagree on Malky, he proved he was a good manager - not just with us but Watford as well.

But who has Slade signed?

Peltier - plays regularly
Tamas - never plays
Malone - only plays when there's injuries
O'Keefe - often a very late sub
Kennedy - never plays
Ameobi - plays, but that's in his contract
Doyle - loaned out
Revell - loaned out

I've left out a couple, as they were signed as youth players to be fair to Slade.

But there is eight players and only ONE is first choice. People go on that he's cut costs well, but surely that is pointless if he wasted wages on these players?

That's why our club won't trust him with more signings and on this occasion I think they're right.

Re: UPDATED ONE OF CARDIFF CITY'S MAIN STRIKERS LEAVES THE C

Cardiff City have today confirmed that striker Alex Revell has made the loan move to Wigan Athletic until January.

The 32 year old's deal is still subject to international clearance but there won't be a problem with that and he makes the move to Wigan on a spell that will last until January 23.

Having joined us from Rotherham United last January, and teamed up with Russell Slade for the second time, he has scored three times in his 18 starting appearances for us.

He also has a further ten appearances from the substitute's bench.

Your right, there's obviously an element of lack of faith and the fact dalman and Choo will publicly hint their opinions of slade is imo unprofessional.

I'm just saying it's not as simple as saying he's signed 14 flops as prob 6/7 of them were t
Youth buys and majority of others Brough in for cover.

This is almost identical to Le Fondre last season, played nearly every game, then loaned out totally out of the Blue.
Now if this was a normal manager who knows what they are doing (considering our injury predicament), you would nail your house on a better striker coming in on loan
Unfortunately, this is Slade we're talking about, tough times ahead :x ............ Unless Big Russ thinks we've got the quality to knock it around for fun, waltzing our way through defences Barcelona or Bayern style, going without a striker?
