Cheers mate, I must say that it is a first come first serve basis but I'm looking for 20 lads for a 12 hour shift in Swansea on Saturday. Now I've got the vast majority of lads already but if you are out of work I am willing to give you a go if you really want it. I got a minibus going around picking people up around Swansea so if you can get yourself to Swansea train station then I will get the minibus to pick you up there

The reality is him leaving his job has probably made his depression worse. It's no fun being unemployed, skint, stuck in Tylorstown and unable to drive at 19.

Yes because like I said he's offered you work publically on here. Why would he f**k you over and ruin his credibility as a recruiter. We've all slated you on here for being a lazy work shy bag of shit, turning up to down in Swansea and putting in a hard days work will prove us all wrong.

Also trust me, once your working it's much easier to find another job. I was unemployed for six months when I was 21, I know what it's like but once I found a job I found that better job offers became more available to me and more doors were open. I haven't been unemployed since and do very well now.

Well it's 9am and a full 9 hours from offering the job and still no take up from the kid. Sorry but I need to fill the positions ASAP which Id probably do within the next 30 mins or so. People like him don't deserve benefits and believe me rather than listening to the news the younger working generation has a shockingly bad working mindset compared to people over 25+ and I see it each and every day.

Aye,just put some perspective on Brownie's glib job offer.The train journey takes 2 hrs as theres no direct line to Swansea from Tylerstown,got to go via Cardiff.Oh and the cost is upwards of £30.What's the minimum wage for 19yo's these days,under £6 ph isn't it?Be interesting to know what the rate is but on the face of it I couldn't condemn him for refusing.

I was educated to a good standard, had good qualifications but I struggled like most my age back then to find any meaningful employment, I was out of work for nearly six months. I took a shitty job way below what I wanted but I worked hard and grew in confidence and after a very short while better jobs seemed to make there way to me and I was earning good money.

Hang on a minute before you throw your usual assumptions around since when has the minimum wage been £8 per hour ? Also this Sarurday shift is a regular thing for the lads who do a good job so what's your problem ?

Before I went into recruitment (15 years ago) I believed everyone wanted to work and get on with life but 15 years in this game tells me a completely different story and one which when I describe to people they don't believe me because they hear on he news that theres no job for youngsters when the reality is completely different
