The question is " How much damage has this done to the reputation of MM?" Well in my opinion MM will find out the next time he applies for a job and then he will find this story being dragged up time and again and it will stay with him for the rest of his life.

If at the outset VT intended to inflict damage to MM reputation then it's game, set and match to VT. I just hope he accepts the FA position on this so we can ALL move on from mess.

I don't think that Tan believed that the FA would be able to bring any kind of charges, he just wanted to embarrass and hurt Malkys chances of getting another job, as he accomplished with Palace dropping their consideration of him becoming their manager. as you say game, set and match to VT

To be honest the way he wasted all the clubs money and then his disasterous effort at wigan has done more bad for him than these investigations.

I assume you are talking about MM. How did he waste the clubs money? He got the club into the PL and were still there when he was sacked.
The club earned over £100m from being promoted, and there is no way he "wasted" over £100m. Unless you are going to keep on about Cornelius? Remember those losses were wiped out by the profit on Jordon Mutch.
If so what do you say about Sir Alex Ferguson (probably wasted more money than any other manager in history on the likes of Veron, Zaha etc) and Brenda spending £16m on Ballotelli.

Biggest transfer budget of any club ever prompted and still left with a very average squad of players.

There are many degrees of Racism, Malky and Moody are like many people, ignorant of how others, minorities in particular will take offence. They have been judged on actions, sending offensive text and emails, those are not just verbal words, they are actually documented. I have just taken a scan of how the worlds media are reporting it and they are all very damning of the FA for not taking any action. We live in a big world now, where all opinions are quickly taken. I wouldn't be surprised, if Tan pursues it further.

The FA have made the right decision with regard to the law, as no criminal offence was committed.

However, I am surprised they didn't sanction MM & IM for breaching codes of conduct as the FA are supposed to have a Zero Tolerance to racism and "Zero Tolerance" would or should cover private or personal opinions.

Quite surprised by what you said about the world media. I have always thought not just football but society in general in this country is a lot more tolerant and educated on other races and cultures

I'm not going to trawl back through your messages but I do recall when the whole text scandal was revealed some members on here were attacking you for supporting Malky even though you had heard 'in camera' what he had done.
Following the press stories reference the alleged racist text messages, you admitted knowing of the messages but denied knowing the messages had racist content. You then posted how regretful you were of supporting a racist!!! So whats changed ?

Sense at at last!
Best manager we've ever had.

The FA's reasoning that moody and mckay had an xpectation that the texts would remain private is completely bogus. The law offers no protection just because an act was committed in secret, acts are either criminal or not criminal.
Secondly if I drove an enquiry that led to no charge I would expect to be pursued for costs - is Mr Tan paying for this expensive, not to mention personal, vendetta :bluescarf:
