I'm undecided.
His dead ball play of late has been shocking (and that's being polite).
Corners not clearing the 1st man and duff free kicks were well below his normal high standard.

If he continues to play in a deep lying defensive midfield role, then I would say sorry, with regret he's gotta go. IMO he's no use to us there. Would rather Ralls.
However, if we utilise his ball striking ability and play him in a more forward number 10 role, then I'm sure his confidence will return and his undoubted quality will shine through.

All these comments saying he's shown loyalty shouldn't mean he gets in the team. Dai Hunt will be playing next. His partnership with Gunnar hasn't worked. Maybe he can still cut the mustard out on the left of midfield? It is after all where he enjoyed the most success with us.

HULL CITY NEWS

By Bradley Smithson

Thurs 2nd July 2015

Steve Bruce is interested in bring Cardiff midfielder Peter Whittingham to Hull City for the season ahead.

If he does leave Cardiff he will be ending a 8 year stint at the club.

Whittingham graduated the Aston Villa youth academy and made his debut for the club against Newcastle in April 2003. The 2003/04 season was a big season for him, making 32 premier league appearances which really gave him vital experience for years to come. After this he didn’t feature much and Villa sent him out on loan to Burnley and Derby County. He didn’t sign a new deal and made the move to Welsh side, Cardiff City.
