You posted what had been stated elsewhere, in this case what was reported on Radio Norwich.

Not your fault.

Norwich City have reportedly ended their transfer deadline day negotiations with Cardiff City to sign midfielder Craig Noone.

Reports first surfaced this morning that the 27-year-old could be heading to Carrow Road in a cut-price deal with the Bluebirds reportedly looking to trim their wage bill.

Media reports in Wales suggested that City had offered £2million for the former Brighton winger but were told that the Bluebirds wanted closer to £5m.

Noone only signed a new contract extension in November keeping him in Wales until 2018 and it seems the Canaries have now pulled out of any potential deal.

Noone played at Carrow Road recently in the Bluebirds’ 3-2 Championship defeat, one of 23 appearances for the Championship outfit this season scoring one goal.

He broke through at non-league Skelmersdale – who play in the same division at King’s Lynn Town (Step Three of the non-league pyramid, one below Lowestoft) – back in 2005.

Spells with a couple of other part-time outfits followed before he was signed by Plymouth Argyle in 2008. Since then Noone’s played for Exeter (on loan), Brighton and Cardiff. He’s been with the Bluebirds since August 2012 after they paid the team now managed by Chris Hughton £1million for his services.
