Re: POLL - " Should we unite as one and protest again? "

Thu Dec 11, 2014 2:04 pm

1927 protest is crap
nobody in the grandstand bothers and most of the time less than a third bother elsewhere itt sounds pathetic and cannot be doing the team any good and most of the time away surpporters laugh at it and take the piss
if people are that bothered do not come its the only way
otherwise come to the game and actually surport the team and create a good atmosphere instead of the crap it is now

Its better than nothing at all and it never disrupts the game,in fact its the only time there is any passion or noise in the stadium

Players of always said they respect us for it and managers :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Is there anyone left in the Grandstand?

I am bothered, more than bothered and NOBODY WILL TELL ME NOT TO COME/I DECIDE THAT MYSELF :thumbright:

I am that bothered thats why I helped keep the BLUE alive :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

I aint telling you no to come
just saying that the only way to actually make a difference is to stop coming
otherwise you are disruppting the team and the surpport as most around me in the canton actually do not bother or seem to care and actually a few do not like it
divided is all it does

I would do if at least 10,000 of those left would do the same and stand outside the main reception(but they wont),then we would really make a difference. :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

A lot stopped going when the red came. A lot stayed

I am glad that a lot stayed, to fight the Blue corner.

I know for a fact that we had a lot of hangers on, I worked with a few of them, they went down for premiership football and openly admitted not caring for the club. I can also report that not one of them go now.

I dont blame the red acceptors, because a lot of people wantee to see Cardiff in the prem. A lot of fans went through the old div 3/4 roller coaster and wanted a taste of success. Now, any that went along with it, regret it and take endless stick for it.

problem you got now, is the old skool who have stopped going are going to take a lot to go again because they are getting comfortable not going. So we need our Blue back sooner rather than later.

now a lot have regretted supporting tan and see him for what he is, and a lot of the glory support has gone...maybe now is the time to up the ante. . . Blue is for life

Thats true
but at the mo all it does is stop the team the manager who deserves a chance from getting good surrport and an atmosphere they deserve
while everyone knows you are cardiff through and through atm you aint doing the team who deserves our surrport and a manager who deserves our surpport a fair chance

We took Tan's money to save us from oblivion in exchange for red shirts. Now we want to welsh on the deal. where's the honour in that?

Re: POLL - " Should we unite as one and protest again? "

Thu Dec 11, 2014 3:14 pm

Of the 20 odd people who have voted no, it would be interesting to know how many of them supported us when we were a crap side struggling in the bottom divisions, and how many of them started supporting the club when we became a half decent side. I wouldn't think there can be many people who followed us during the bad the bad times who want anything to do with red. They have been around long enough to value our history, and what this club is all about.

I Have supported the City through thick and ( mostly ) thin since 1959. And I voted "NO"

Out of curiosity, why do you believe we should not protest for the Return to Blue?

Re: POLL - " Should we unite as one and protest again? "

Protests should be done outside the ground
The team and manager deserve better surppot than they are getting atm

Well you've been supporting this club 7 years longer than I have, and I am surprised that you can't understand why some of us feel so strongly about our identity. You've spent 50 years watching some of our great players (and some really useless ones as well) play in blue. We are called the bluebirds, and we've always been blue until a person from half way around the world who knows nothing about football, nothing of our heritage, and nothing about the culture of Welsh people decides to change us to red. Chairmen and owners come and go, you've certainly seen a few, but us fans are the one constant as far as the club is concerned. We were here before Tan, and we'll be here long after he's gone. The least he can do is show a bit of respect to the long history of the club, and to the supporters who pump their hard earned wages into the club year after year. You pay your money the same as everyone else, and you are entitled to your opinion. I have nothing personal against those who wear red, they are perfectly entitled to do so. I just don't understand them, particularly the ones who were around when we thought 5,000 was a good crowd.

The club has had a lot of dubious characters in charge over the years, but only one who has changed our colours and caused so much disruption among the supporters.

I voted yes and happy to support any protests planned. But won't stay away even if we go purple and green stripe don't think I can :bluescarf: :bluescarf: but I also believe that the 1s who voted no who were not in div 3 or 4 won't admit it anyway :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

How many of you yes voters where there the night we won the championship and got promoted cos i heard no protests back then
if i remmber rightly there was one big party
also when Tan and malky did there lap of honour do not remmber anyone singing we will always be blue then

Definitely be up for it again I believe we put tan on the ropes the last time he knows hes wrong thats why he doesn't attend games anymore.
The man is down and he needs a reminder we haven't gone away but it mustn't be about comprises like he has suggested its the full return to blue with the club crest otherwise for me no point.
So many of us are pissed off so yea im well up for it problem is little old me has no standing it will have to be yet again a leader to organise and thousands would proudly follow.

The pleasing thing is we aint so divided anymore the majority now wants the same thing so no time like now we have to really . :bluescarf:

I was there when we won the championship, and when we won promotion from Div 3 away at Scunthorpe, and when we got promoted from Div 2 by winning the play off final, and I've watched us get relegated a few times as well. Sadly, I haven't been to a game since we got promoted to the Premier, and so I never got to see teams like Arsenal and Chelsea etc., although I had spent well over 40 years waiting to see us play in the top flight. The closest I've been to the stadium in recent times is when I joined the march for blue. I am not prepared to pay Tan any of my money, and although I know me not going makes no difference to anyone else, it's a matter of principle for me. If and when the club becomes the club I once knew, I will be back like a shot. Until then, I will have to stick with watching live streams, highlights, and listening to what went on from my mates in the pub. My choice, and I don't regret it.

You are very wrong I did I slated tan that night it felt so wrong being promoted like that others did to .apart from red scarf night that promotion to the promised land was an awful feeling and I shouted my feelings as did a small few

This is an acceptable response and you pose some good questions. Although I would prefer blue to red, I think of my club as being Cardiff City rather than the Bluebirds, which after all is a nickname. When I saw the City cinch promotion in 1960 they played in white against Aston villa at home. When they played Portsmouth in the FA cup final they played in black. I desperately wanted us to win both games, shirt colour simply did not come into it. Now if Tan changed our name that would be a different matter entirely. In that case, not only would I stop going to games but I wouldn't even bother to check the results.
