This was dire today,I'm now thinking did the Watford game ever happen

The City fans left the match wondering why they had made the efort,as City certainly did not.

Cardiff City 0 Rotherham 0

Cardiff City line up :thumbright:

CardiffCity v Rotherham Marshall, Brayford, Connolly, Turner, Morrison, Whittingham, Gunnarsson, Kim, Noone, Jones, le Fondre.

CardiffCity subs: Moore, Fabio, Ralls, Daehli, Ravel, Adeyemi, Macheda.

Crowd 20,419 including about 400 hundred Rotherham fans.

Once again there looked barely 15,000 fans at the game.

I believe the pressure was on Russell Slade to deliver a victory today,no matter what, but I am starting to wonder if he has a plan B? or does he know how to open up some of the poorest teams in this division, because Rotherham like many others we have failed to beat are one of them.

The Bluebirds went in to this game with 5 consecutive home wins behind them, facing a Rotherham side that had not won for over 8 games

The game started with no urgency and the atmosphere was once again awful at home.

The first bit of life, like came in the 19 minute and that was from the crowd not the team, when we sang " We will always be Blue " :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

For 25 minutes Rotherham had most of the possession  the game was dire so far, then a shot was fired in to our goal mouth from Rotherham and Turned had to quickly kick it out.

By the 34 minute we had not had a shot on goal

Then in the 36 min and 37 min Craig Noone had two good runs at their goal :ayatollah:,but the finishing was not there.

Kimbo and Brayford were now and again able to put some good passing together :ayatollah:

Half time 0-0 was met by a few boos by the City fans.

Rotherham started the second half more lively,Marshall had to make a good save in the 49th minute :thumbright:

The match just seemed to be getting worse

In the 65th minute Jones was replaced by Macheda and for me Jones had been more than lazy today,as he had done nothing.

In the 68th minute another save by Marshall.

72nd minute Macheda had a shot :thumbright: but some how it just rolled along the the Rotherham goal line, our best chance so far,in fact I think our only chance

73rd minute Rotherham hit the crossbar.

79th minute Fabio came on for Connolly and a cheer went up.

84th minute Ravel Morrison came on for Le Fondre.

NOW THE SHOCK

Man of the Match for me, No City player, Pringle number 18 for Rotherham, for me he terrorised us :o
I honestly cant say any City player deserved it today.

If I was Rotherham, I would be disappointed that I had not taken the 3pts from us.

For me this was awful today, I said to someone, 2pts dropped, they replied, you mean a 1 pt gained after that garbage.

I suppose you could say another clean sheet :thumbright:

But over all on this performance we are a middle of the table team this season.

The match finished with loud boos from the Cardiff fans.

Next up a tough trip away to Bournemouth. :thumbright: :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

As a positive poster it's hard to be negative but that was just poor from start to finish. It's easy to critise after but slade got it wrong, it was crying out for fabio to replace Connelly and ravel or daehli to add some spark. Poor showing and very inconsistent after last weeks heroics. Would have taken 4 points before last weeks game, sorry can't help it ....

You are a positive poster, but your right Slade got it totally wrong today.

It's peformances and atmospheres like I witnessed today which really make me question my sanity in bothering to travel from London on a seven hour round trip  What is really pissing me off more than anything is that every team we play against, out pass us and have the majority of the possession, it's as if our players don't pass to each other in training and it's not confined to Slade, it was the same with OGS and even Malky.

Re: ' MY VIEW,CARDIFF AT THIS RATE KNOW HOW TO LOSE SUPPORT

I didn't want to travel from grangetown mate so fair play to you.

Didn't go to the Leeds game and didn't go yesterday - had better things to do, tbh I did not think twice about it!

It would not have entered my head to miss a game before this season.

Just lost the passion and I am not it will come back! :(

We could play this kind of football on a shoe-string budget, it's disappointing the players are earning so much money to be matched by Rotherham who don't have anywhere near Tan's resources.

If Tan is able to get this quality for his money, I dread to dream of a Cardiff City at the next stage of the downsizing process. We're shit enough as it is.

It's rumoured Slade is bringing in "lower class" players. Well these guys we have now are not worth their wages so why not get these lower class guys in and lets pray they show up what we have now.

it's obvious the club officials are not competent enough to deal with big transfers and wages, nobody they buy adds any value to the team and just increases the debt. Let Slade bring them in, he does know those leagues better than most, and as you say Ian, they can't do any worse than the current lot, probably be more grateful to be playing with us :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Annis, im already pretty certain that I won't be renewing my season ticket next year, it's not really the shit football week in week out its more the fact that everyone at the ground that I meet are just so de motivated, the day out really is a chore. Even if we get promoted by some freak set of circumstances, I will not renew whilst the rebrand is in place. I will carry on supporting the team but just away from home next season, which ever division we are in
