Nope, i think he makes a brief message to help Slade make asessment of a 31 man Squad in a few minutes, and treat his best talent like shit.. But looking at his tactical skills i might be wrong, and he might be a retard after all :laughing6:

Dæhli looked great tonight. Ran around the field, tackling, dribbling and creating chances.. Didn't look like he was carrying a knock

Really? Is that why Ole and Mehmet separated as best friends and Ole is taking Tan to court on three breaches on his contract?
And is that why Tan is making so much noise on Slade being HIS man? What do you think them breaches is all about. We know one being compensation to his contract. What do you think the philosophy part is? And what on earth would that third breach be? Im only a football fan and know nothing about world business and first class travel, so please enlighten me :ayatollah:

Give it a rest mate, he looked good in the pl last season. I watched him in internationals against top nations like France and Italy and he looked good. In fact the only place I have seen him have really poor games is in the championship.
He is a potentially brilliant player, capable of seeing passes and ability on the ball no one in our team can touch bar ravel, the problem is he is just not consistent yet. That doesn't mean everything he did this season was rubbish like you said. He just needs to get more consistent. I am sure that will come as he gets a bit older.

Spot on.

He needs to sort it out, or he'll look worse and worse.

I'd be interested in how the other players feel about it. I don't think David Marshall is happy, going by his comments. He didn't say it exactly because they won't be allowed to say his own opinion in public, or they'd be sold as well.

Re: ' SO MATT DAEHLI TONIGHT '

I cannot accept Slade has no place for Daelli as a substitute, let's all give Slade that much credit to accept he is not that incompetent.

It's really tough to understand this one, I am keeping my thoughts to myself until I settle on what the problem might be, ohh go on then, may as well put it out there :)

If Ole is reportedly filing a law-suit against Tan, is Tan trying to ruin Ole's prodigy out of revenge?

Tan won't find any dirt on Ole, he may of ruined the squad of Cardiff City FC but he is still an honourable bloke, I lay no blame to him as he was asked to take the job, just like another incompetent Scott Young, their only football crime is saying 'yes' to a job they thought they could do :thumbright: :bluescarf:

You're deluded.

From your comments I think you either haven't watched him like the rest of us or you wouldn't recognise talent if it hit you in the face.

Your comments fly in the face of most fans, the media (both home and abroad) and even a recent International poll.

By your standards who apart from 2/3 who played in Birmingham should be in the team next Friday????

He is undoubtedly talented and I was excited at the thought of him and Fabio playing together down the left against Championship sides this season. For whatever reason, he just hasn't looked as good this year. We're all entitled to our opinion, and I really hope he stays and fulfills his potential when Ravel goes back to West Ham (or jail).

reminds me of bojan who when at barcelona was supposed to be the next coming. it never happened and now he is at stoke

Re: ' SO MATT DAEHLI TONIGHT '

He was brilliant against Norwich in the first half, playing in the hole behind the lone striker, Kenwyne. It's appalling how he has been sidelined and not even picked as sub recently. Thrre must be more to it and it undermines my faith in Slade. Likewise, Guerra hasn't had a chance since being publicly humiliated by Scott Young after the Bournemouth game, when every player was rubbish except the sub....Daehli,who was great!

Not really. Matts is 19 and has hardly been given any time at all way to say something like that. 7 games this season isn't it? And all in a malfunctioning team under OGS. It shows how impatient our fans are really.
Bojan is 23, had 7 seasons (not 7 games :laughing6: ) at Barca, including 3 years of loan spells at top clubs around europe waiting for him to come good before they finally gave up on him and sold him.

Tell you who reminds me of Bojan in our team…. Macheda. Same career trajectory.. Burst onto the scene as a teenager for a top club, couldn't live up to his early promise.. shipped around europe to different clubs before they finally tire of waiting for him to come good and sell him to a smaller club.

Allan, Please Mate, Realise its all bollocks.

Daehli played in an International friendly, if there was for one second any truth, Daehli would not have played.[/quot

ok annis i've given up its all a conspiracy!! to sell daelhi in jan

Allan, Daehli they want gone come Jan and Guerra and Calla, plus a few others.

I can understand on some, but Daehli, not given a chance and is an innocent kid on all this :thumbright:

Hrs had is chance this season and he's been Shit ,I dont understand the love in for him he's very light weight for the championship ,he might have potential but we need strong players now not in a few years ,slade has said that mats has been injured and has an on going hip problem also that he asked Norway not to play him tonight but they did anyway
He played as a sub for a sub under Slade. Getting benched for three center backs. You might want to stick your head in the sand, but no one has played him out of the team. If any, name them and when, and i will stand corrected. The truth is Slade now lied about him 5 times making excuses not to include him in the team. The national team physios cleared him, so i guess he is just as fit as he says he is.. When did he have his chance? Under Ole? When the entire team was shit? He should have been making subs for Noone and Pilkington, and then he would have got his chance.. Ridiculous!

you can't have watched any games this season cause he's been hopeless ,shoved off the ball ,lossing the ball ,not tracking back once he's lost the ball ,ffs I think you need to get your head out of the sand he's been Shit

I watched all of them. What you are saying apply for two of his games and most of Pilkington and every game of Noones. Get real!

when he has had a chance this season he hasn't taking it and been aweful ,he might have potential but he's not showing it this year unlike last year it seems like he's lost interest

When has his competitors made any impact and when did Matts last play? How did he do in his last match (Wednsday to help you out) and why shouldnt he be on the bench ahead of 3 center backs? After a month with shit football he dosent deserve a chance to make his mark, becourse he should be bossing this league at the age of 19? How much do you think it will cost old Tan to buy a talent like this again, and do you think this is the way to nurture talent? Head in sand alright
Never mind the 5 lies the manager has made as an exuse not to play him...

Scandinavianbluebird, you are spot on in your thoughts on Daehli & it's refreshing to hear.
These people that just say Daehli is shit are laughable.
No ones's expecting him to boss every match game after game or even play every match but he should be constantly involved.
Noone has been particularly poor & Pilkington even worse so Gabbidon is on the bench instead of Daehli & people don't think anything is wrong?
For those that say Jonny Williams is better than Daehli, well he probably is at the moment but he's also 2 years older in his development which is a lot when your only 19!
I believe one of the reasons Tan chose Slade over someone like Pullis is because he can be controlled. I don't believe Tan picks the team but I do think he has his say. Wasn't this virtually proven with the Guerra/Bournmouth situation?

Who the hell knows? Doesnt suit the formation, not used to the physical nature of the division, too much hoofball? Suffering from second season syndrome? Hasn't been given a consistent run of games?
You might as well ask why is gunnarson crap in the PL and good in the championship? Why hasn't noone played a good game since last season? Why can't le fondre score all of a sudden? I am sure there is good explanation somewhere if you dig deep enough..
The point is that those players have been given time and games to come good this season. And thats kind of whats at the heart of this discussion.
Apparently we at Cardiff are so blessed with great talent everywhere in our squad that we can't be arsed to give some young kid with big potential some time to develop let alone minutes off the bench.. Throw the baby out with the bath water. Small time mentality.

Agreed, everything else is just rumour mongering. The simple fact is that he hasn't been good enough up to now.

If he does well after getting a chance then fine but right now, given the the choice between Matts and Ravel, it would be Ravel for me every time.

I am slightly more surprised he hasn't been on the bench but maybe these public comments of discontent don't help and may well be his agents way of stirring up interest :? Slade is big on togetherness and I'm not convinced Matts is helping himself.

I just don't see why people are that worried about him leaving on current form. I hope he proves me wrong though :ayatollah:

What are you on about? It was slade that started talking about Matts, He made several comments about Matts to both fans and media prior to Matts saying anything whatsoever.
And i don't know how singling out Matts in the press the way he has done shows a man thats big on "togetherness". A manager thats big on togetherness is gonna keep this kind of thing behind closed doors.
Imo its terrible man management from Slade.

you will find it was the echo and not slade that's started it all by saying slade is to have talks but in the article there are no quotes from slade ,annis posted it on another thread

You will find that Slade made these statements 5 times and several on camera. The latest article is just the tip of the iceberg regarding Daehli. Keep up and get your head out of the sand :laughing6:

Slade did, indeed, make these statements, that is undeniable. However, they were made in response to very direct questions being posed by a journalist.

Are you that niaive to think that the journo just decided upon himself to ask those questions without being fed some info by someone :?

There are games being played here but I think there is a more straightforward explanation rather than the populist theory that everything that looks dodgy at our club is down to Tan !!

I think I'd rather even trust Tan over some of these football agents that blight our game

I might be wromg on all of this but I would suggest that my take on it is the more common sense version rather than the conspiracy theory unless someone has some pretty strong evidence to the contrary.

No one is holding a gun to Slades head to make those stupid statements. But maybe he is stupid enough to put 3 CB on the bench and completely destroy team morale. I dont know. But all Daehli said in response to all of Slades lies was he wanted to play football, so he will continue to work hard and hope it will resolve in one way or another. Its not reflecting good on Slade and Cardiff city out here in the football world i can tell you that, it just adds to a circus club. Honesty is a much better route.

Slade said he would listen to the owner but would make his own decisions.

It doesn't look like!

Guerra has also mysteriously been absent from the team sheet.

Tan's influence???

As long as VT has as much input, there will be players out of favour.

If Guerra isn't showing 100% in training, then it's a managerial issue. The gaffer is meant to motivate his squad. If he is merely being left out, that is just negative. An arm around the shoulder may be needed. In fact, I would have thought Slade has these skills because of his age and experience.

Something isn't right. :?:
