If you don't provide the proof or source then as far as I'm concerned you mistaken

Is it difficult keeping players happy when you have so many? Can that affect morale and do you have to be ruthless?

“If things need to be explained to anybody then I will explain them. At the same time I think the players understand we have 31 in the squad and with all the will in the world I am not going to be able to keep everybody happy. It is impossible.

So I have to make decisions with the group I want to take us forward. There is a short term idea of where people stand and I have spoken to some of the players plus their representatives and have been up front and honest with them.

There a lot more interviews that elaborate on the 20 man squad, but I am not going to be bothered looking for them, if you are using the excuse that if i can't post links then i am mistaken :laughing6: nice try , I think youa re mistaken because you have not posted any links

Even then, I'd rather see Ravel in that position - more talented and far more experienced in this league.

It's crazy that he isn't getting on the bench though & three CBs are.

I don't agree with you very often, but I do here.

Ravel in a 4-5-1 behind Kenwynne Jones is probably best if we play that formation. But remember that Ravel goes back to his own club (or jail!) at Christmas, so Daehli is next best.

Daehli isn't defensive enough for the 4-4-2 formation that Slade prefers, and has always looked out of place out wide (especially with Fabio behind him). I hope we can develop the flexibility to play a 4-5-1 or a 4-4-2 as required, but teams rarely do this for some reason or other.

Don't even think Matts will be here when Ravel goes back to west ham.Besides seen that he started for Norway this evening so doesnt seem like the injury Slade keeps talking about is holding him back. Must be something else which makes it seems even more likely that he is on his way out.

I think both of you make excellent points on this issue and clearly thought out. I agree 100% with both but believe, like Barrie, that in a 4-5-1 Ravel offers just a tad more than Daehli but the point of Ravel probably leaving us in January is crucial. By the way, for what its worth, I'm not a great fan of 4-4-2 in the absence of high quality playerd. I would prefer 4-4-1-1 and my choice of personnel would be as follows:

Marshall

Brayford
Manga
Connolly
Fabio

Gunnarsson
Dikagkoi
Adeyemi
Noone

Ravel
Guerra

But I cant see Scott Young agreeing this!

Quote Hoegmo national coatch. Daehli has made huge improvements on his defensive work and is taking steps in the right direction every day. But off course he is not on the same level of judgement as Mr Chuckle, thats a given :notworthy:

I don't like these comments from the manager and it looks like a set up before his inevitable sale in January, where it can be said he didn't have the right attitude, blah blah blah.

I was thinking the same. Slade knows that selling Dæhli will cause a lot of fuzz, and he is now building up his defense.
