The last one, there were thousands not hundreds. The whole stadium was the bluest id seen it after wards. because there was not 25000 marching it was a failure? Tan said 5%, so this proved him to be accurate? Never seen so many blue scarves in that stadium it sent him a huge message. Just don't understand how you can knock the people who've tried so hard mistakes or not they stood up and tried to make a difference
BU said it was thousands. Tan was pretty much right about 5%. I'll knock anything that could lead to the liquidation of my club. BU had a massive Tan out agenda which was ridiculous as there was no one to take over.

The scarf protests are brilliant. I sent a scarf to someone on here for free to do my little bit towards it. The scarf protest was nothing to do with BU.
You have been one if the principal Tan apologists - which is, of course, your prerogative.

You've just written, "I'll knock anything that could lead to the liquidation of my club," now Dalman has already stated (on the record) that failure to gain promotion will lead to "severe financial difficulties." How does that statement sit with your continued robust defence of Vincent Tan?
I'm not an apologist of Tan per se I am just grateful that he saved my club from liquidation. I am also grateful he provided the funds to buy a squad that got promoted to the Premiership. I am not grateful he changed our kit to Red and would much prefer to be in blue but he has put his money where his mouth is and it is his right to have us play in pink if he wants. He also did say he would keep us blue and not invest 100 million but we wanted our cake and to eat it. Even now those that hate Tan want money spent on this player or that player. My problem is with the massive hypocrisy of many on here with regards Tan. Ffs most only started on about the colour when we stopped being successful. There wasn't a peep when we were winning the championship.

For what Dalman said. Isn't that what people want. That's part of my issue. Tan is damned if he does damned if he doesn't. He keeps spending people have a go about the debt, he says through Dalman that there are to be cuts if we fail to get promoted and people have a go. Again hypocrisy.

It is very one sided on here and unfairly anti Tan. There are many reasons to have a go at him but people use anything and everything and frequently it is a pile of shit. I try to present an alternative view. That does not make me an apologist.

My opinion is if we tried to charm him he might come round to blue but there are too many who have no intention of any sort of compromise. They will possibly get the club they deserve one day.
We get it pal, you are one of those naive cunts that take everything that Tan says at face value.

Do you not have a brain of your own you gullible prick?
What a joke of a post. Posts like this from people like you show how far this forum has gone downhill. Can't contribute anything worthwhile so write shit like that.
Maccydee - I've been reading this thread & enjoying the debate especially between yourself, Nubbsy & Alf Sherwood.
Whilst I completely disagree with your views & agree with the others & was enjoying the the different views being debated of which none of you were being disrespectful - you then then get this guy who has to resort to swearing & cursing like a Neanderthal!
Like you say - can't debate so has to resort to that!!

Alf Sherwood - i must say I agree with virtually 100% and like the way you get your points across.
The irony is he quite clearly hasn't got a brain. He makes my point in a way. I think there are many who actually follow the group in having a pop at tan. I'm not a fan of his in any way, shape or form. I'm a cardiff fan of 20 odd years. Been there through thick and thin. Including the worst times. I'm grateful he saved us as we were on our arse. I think he is wrong changing us to red as there hasn't been any significant increase in revenue that I can see. He might know differently but I doubt it. However he was above board when he pushed for the red. Never lied or was underhand with it. When we said we wanted blue he said that's fine.

I think even Tan knows he was wrong. However honour is important to him and his people so he will not back down in the face of protest. However a compromise might work if we did as I said earlier.

I think the difference for me is that I'm away as am in the RAF and have been largely disconnected in comparison to many so it might mean more to them or they feel it more being there every week. I do maintain that while winning there is very little protest and it came last year when we started to struggle. The ones who speak loudest be it on here, facebook etc also were wrong on Malky in a big way so it's not beyond the realms that they are wrong here too.

Just my two penneth worth.
So now Tan didn't lie about the rebrand?

He said he wouldn't change us to red, then a few weeks later he did, is that not a lie?

Brainwashed

Misleading isn't blackmail, as blackmail is a crime, although some will say that a crime was committed! :)

Your recollection of history is wrong. He changed his mind due to Cardiff fans asking him to put the £100 million in. He was willing to seek further investment. That was the line from TG. This didn't mean red or dead but certainly we would not have spent money on the players to take us up.

TG was Tan's mouthpiece at the time and he never once lied. What fans said regarding the future if no rebrand is another matter.

I think the confusion regarding red or dead from some comes from when tan originally bought into the club as if he didn't provide the money to pay HMRC we would have been liquidated. That is the viewpoint of Steve Davies who was in court and heard their lawyer say there was no money to cover the running costs therefore we were basically insolvent.

Steve is no mouthpiece for anyone he plays it straight. Riddler had screwed us massively and used up all our credit options.

Brainwashed

I don't know who you are trying to kid. Like I said there's no point debating with clowns like you
No the reason you aren't debating is because you have no useful points to make. You are incapable of sensible conversation as proven by your post where you made yourself look a fool. You have given no counter arguments just rubbished mine. It is people like you that make this board shit. I would take ten roath magics over you any day.

I make this board shit, because I don't want to argue with someone that is deluded and loves taking a length off tan.

I couldn't give a f**k about your opinion. People like you who are prepared to bend over and be fucked by Tan and his mates me sick.

And then you've got the cheek to criticize people like Sian and the rest for standing up for something that they believe in.

Fair enough they might not be everyone's cup of tea but at least they had a go.

Have some pride mate because you are coming across as a sniveling cocksucker

Ely please back up your last comments. I have not abused Sian but said that BU was not a good thing. Mostly because the rhetoric was much like your drivel. I have not taken any length off Tan. You aren't reading what I write. It's shit because of people like you. Even someone who I'm guessing has the same viewpoint as you thought you a Neanderthal. You have added nothing to this debate in the slightest and in fact have turned it into something Annis claims he is trying to get rid of and that's insults.

There are many people culpable for the 'fake' club now plying it's trade out of CF11 and for the ridiculous amount of debt it now finds itself in.

A good place to start would be Sam Hammam - without Hammam's financially reckless ownership the conditions for Cardiff City to be rebranded would never have existed.

Ridsdale - Another chancer who exacerbated the excesses of the Hammam era

Borley - 'Mr Red or Dead.' Once a man that I held in the highest regard. Borley has, as far as I'm concerned, forever sullied his reputation through his perpetuation of the red or dead myth via social networking forums and through disgraceful online jibes at those peacefully opposed to the rebrand. There are some pictures of Borley giving it large whilst wearing a red wig celebrating promotion on the day of the open top bus tour. Hardly the most heinous of crimes but it tells you everything you need to know about him. I know others disagree, that is, of course, their free choice, but I have zero respect for the man.

Local media - Aside from a brief spell under departing editor Tim Gordon, the Echo, over the years, has been worse than useless in terms of asking searching questions over how the club is run. If ever a clubs support was in need of a campaigning local newspaper it was City fans. BBC Wales have been just as hopeless.

A section of the clubs support - putting aside the persistent attempts by factions within the clubs own support to discredit any kind of peaceful protest, longer term there have plenty of reasons why we were so disjointed and divided rather than united when the rebrand saga first began. There had been a reluctance to support CCST (a group set up on democratic principles and part of a far bigger national movement) almost since day one. In fact, that's being polite - right from its infancy there have been concerted efforts by sizeable chunks of Cardiff City's support to discredit this group and strangle it in its infancy. This coupled with apathy was one of the reasons why when a strong supporters trust was desperately needed it was found to be totally toothless.

Vincent Tan - the man himself. In some respects Tan has just behaved as out of touch very wealthy people used to getting their own way often do. The fact remains though that he has acted in an incredibly arrogant manner and his financial management of the club certainly threatens it's longer term existence.

What is it about BU that defines them as bullies? I went on the marches I'm not a bully and I certainly didn't see any bullying?

You can't really count what BU did a success. There were hundreds on the March out of 25,000 fans. All it did was reinforce what Tan was saying to be accurate.

Thanks for that. A shame that the Mods seemingly only dislike abuse when it is against them or their point of view. A pity as this board was getting better. My last word on this is that there should be no doubt I am a Cardiff fanatic. I'm not a Tan fan, Ridsdale, Sam, Borley, Kumar, Clive Sullivan, Cadman, Rick Wright or Clemo. They are the owners/chairmen I have seen in my time as a fan. They will come and go. Sam and Rick Wright were my favourites as I felt they most understood us. Fans will be there for ever. My point is that I appreciate Tan for saving us from liquidation and I find there is a lot of hypocrisy where Tan is concerned and also people who have a go at anything he does. I don't like that. It doesn't mean I like red. I think Tan wants to be liked which is why I think if we attempted to take him on he could be brilliant. He's not making money from red so the only thing stopping him is stubbornness. Our fans are equally stubborn. The problem with things like this board and Facebook is people can say what they like and its up to the people who run this board to control it. Unfortunately they aren't so for that reason I'm out. I can't be arsed having to put up with idiots like Elyblueaj who in normal life I would have zero dealings with.

I have better things to do.

Maccydee -
Would be a shame if you left because I agree with a lot of what you say on this forum ( but perhaps not all on this subject) & you are an astute & articulate poster.
The idea (for me) of a forum is to agree or disagree about topics sensibly & not resort to abuse & name calling because you don't agree or are not intelligent enough to argue properly - as has been proven with one guy on this thread.
There's always one idiot so don't let that put you off this forum as it has definitely improved over recent months.

When will people realise that nobody has a mandate to talk on behalf of all fans, and it is clear that BU nor CCST nor Sian Branson talk on behalf of the majority. It angers me when it is suggested that these parties represent ‘The Fans’.

The majority of fans want a stable club, preferably a united club, but realise that the hostile approach adopted by BU in particular is no way to get what everybody wants out of Tan.

BU, CCST, and definitely Sian Branson do not represent me, nor the vast majority of thinking Cardiff City fans. They merely represent small minority groups with specific agendas and strategies.
