What are Ukips policies on daily things like NHS, trains, buses or bin collections?

Paul Nuttall MEP, the vice-chair of Ukip, posted on his own website: “I would argue that the very existence of the NHS stifles competition, and as competition drives quality and choice, innovation and improvements are restricted. Therefore, I believe, as long as the NHS is the ‘sacred cow’ of British politics, the longer the British people will suffer with a second-rate health service.” He has since taken it down.

So they'd privatise the shit out of it and, as ever, haven't got the foggiest idea what they are talking about.

What utter rubbish!! Get your facts right, Plaid have no such policies and never have and hopefully never will.

Don't really know much about the party you support then do you ? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/1397281.stm

Read the article my friend. This policy is about affordable houses. There are large areas of Wales where locals simply can't afford to buy houses because the prices are so high. It's not about the language that the incomers speak its because the local youth simply can't afford to buy houses in their communities.

The party's housing plans came under fire in February when Gwynedd Councillor Seimon Glyn said action should be taken to stop the effect of English migration into Welsh-speaking villages in north Wales.

Ever heard of the saying if it sound too good to be true.... That's my only concern with Ukip, can they really support what they believe?

Well we already know we can't trust Labour on this - they said only 13k Eastern Europeans were coming to the UK, when they were advertising in Eastern Europe to attract 100's of thousands and we ended with over 2m. Similarly, we can't trust the Liberal Democrats who said they would abolish student fees, then voted to treble them.

I can't believe so many people voted Labour - for every £4 labour spent while they were in charge £1 was borrowed money. They are responsible for the double dip recession, they are responsible for the fact that every year more people migrate to the UK than live in the whole city of Southampton and they support the fact that the UK spends £50,000,000 PER DAY membership fee to be a member of the EU. Only UKIP will sort the Labour mess out.

Look at the date of this article- 2001!!! Glyn and others left Plaid and formed their own party Llais Gwynedd because of disagreements on issues like this. They became quite a force on Gwynedd Council at the time. As I said, Glyn's opinion's are not Plaid's and never have been.

I can read thank you very much were it says 'Plaid Cymru councillor Seimon Glyn' now if you are saying that the party fell out with him over that then that's fare enough but that would have been AFTER the time was a Plaid Cymru Councillor so WAS a Plaid Councillor at the time of those remarks. Also whether its on the National level or just a local level the fact of the matter is that it was Plaid policy at some level so to call me a lair and throwing out any suggestion of such a policy is bollox

Also when asked on Question Time the then leader of Plaid refused to comdemn the comments at the time: http://www.newswales.co.uk/index.cfm?id=3048

I can remember this incident well, the English press went to town with the story as you can imagine but it wasn't a Plaid policy it was Seimon Glyn opinion. The press might have run the story of it been policy at the time as it wasn't good publicity for Plaid.

So if it wasn't a Plaid policy then why didn't the then Plaid leader condemn the comments..? Because you know as well as me that its always been what grassroots Plaid have always wanted

Labour were naïve enough to believe that they had conquered boom and bust with the economy continually growing. Furthermore, as interest rates were low they borrowed to increase expenditure, as well as turning to 'Enron style accounting' by saddling future generations with £500b of PFI. In some cases there was so much money to be made that PFI schemes were over-subscribed, due to interest rates running as high as 75% at a time when the government could borrow of the World Bank for less than 2%. As PFI wasn't classed as borrowing it kept Labour inline with EU legislation regarding entry to the Euro should they wish to join. All this took place before the stock market collapsed in 2008, which is why we have so much debt and why Labour is to blame.

And even when the banks did they should have let Northern Rock go to the wall or sell it to Branson who come in with a late offer. That happened in 2007 and 12 months before the banking issue. Had he allowed them to go to the wall then it would have been a lesson to the other banks. However he set a precedent then and the other banks seen it as 'well they saved them so we know that the government will always be there'.

Re: How Would You Vote?

UKIP is not a protest vote. If you know anything about what they stand for then you're better off sticking with the three main parties. Some intelligent posts above but really there are some utterly clueless ones.

As one poster said, if you're not happy with the way the major parties act then vote for the Green Party as a protest vote, not UKIP. UKIP are not the party of the working class or the discontented voter. If you honestly think that then Nigel Farage well and truly has his cock firmly placed in your bum hole where he wants it. Don't be so naive.

That's where you are wrong, to think that all UKIP voters know nothing about politics, I used to be a Labour votor but after years of taking an interest I have realised they are actually the ones to blame.

i'd probably vote conservative today, no party is perfect but at least the economy is improving and i at least am more optimistic about the future than i was 4 years ago :ayatollah:

i hope UKIP take enough votes off conservative / labour / liberal democrats, to force the tories to have a serious look at EU membership. that would be the outcome i would hope for
