Vincent Tan has never disrespected you, he made a bad decision on the assumption it would help the club financially by increasing profits in Asia, he was wrong, it never happened as he planned, he has offered consultation with the CCST with a view to compromise on the kit for next season. He has shown you alot more respect by investing in the club you support and saving us from financial meltdown than you have shown him with your idiotic and thoughtless abuse towards him.

If Tan had any respect for the fans of this club, we wouldn't still be playing in red.

Just because Malky's private texts messages have come out, it doesn't mean which all start a massive Tan appreciation parade to show how much we love him. Our fanbase is a f*cking joke.

Tan is very powerful and will not bow down whilst we go against him.
I have thought for a long time that the best way is to take the nice approach because whilst fans go up against him there will be no chance of going back to blue.
Like i say something like " Please vincent become an hero and make us blue " on a flag thrown over the new stand right opposite him could be a start and way forward..

so you can't respect one decision because of another, unrelated decision? thats very strange...

tbh, I never understood the Malky-Mania... it appears Tan was right to sack Mackay...and?

managers come and go, players come and go...only thing thing that stays (until Tan) is the identity of the club that we love.

I loved Chopra when he played for us...do I still care for him? No, not really... Whittingham, like him a lot...if he joins, say Newcastle, I thank him for his services & tara... I love the players playing for our club while they are there. I like the managers when they manage our club...

When the rebrand happened I never got this "dont protest, give all your support to Malky"... which turned out, swapping 2/3 of our identity for 18 months of Mackay...

Time to work with the club rather than against them I think if we actively show that we are grateful for all he has done for the club, but put emphasis on how much of a God he'd become to us if he changed us back to blue then it would go further than angry posting and chants.

Work with the board, the management and Tan to get everyone on the same side. We have to let them know we're not the ungrateful assholes we may sound like and that we are deserving of getting what we want, which is Cardiff City in blue.

Hof, but if the angle of approach was changed from protest marches and anti Tan chants, to a more 'we are willing to work with you for compromise' approach he maybe more amicable and willing to meet with the fans rep's?

As has been mentioned, Banners appealing to Tan or chants such as 'Vincents Tan's blue and white army'

less hate more working together to achieve a common ground.

Some make him out to be a villain some make him a hero,at the end of the day he has saved the football club it doesn't matter what the anti tan brigade do because you are still posting on this site because this is the fan's board, the same as it is still cardiiiff city.cardiff city will always be bigger than anyone person, as long as it's there we can air our views, one city one fan base one direction support cardiff til we die,no more slagging off tan we are lucky to still have him,we have hope.

Tan was right on the whole Malky situation, but the identity of this club is far bigger than that.

Great point and one I've been making for ages. Before Malky left i posted on here that we could be singing positive songs that would help towards changing his mind. We could have sung this on the few ocassions we have worn blue.

Vincent Tan, Vincent Tan we say thank you
Vincent Tan, Vincent Tan we say
Vincent Tan, Vincent Tan we say thank
We say thank you for the blue today.

He didn't get where he is by bending to insults. Calling him a wanker will get the exact reaction that's put Malky and Moody where they are right now.

We've got a great club, a fabulous squad of players, a great manager and ONE OF THE MOST SUPPORTIVE OWNERS that any side could hope to have.

And before anyone says Tan has stolen our history thats crap because you can't delete whats already happened at CCFC.

Can we not consider the alternative possibility that Tan turned us red in the genuine belief that it would offer our club the best chance of investment and survival. It doesn't take much to look at things in that light and boy does it change your perspective on everything that's happened over the last couple of years.

Let's all forget hating the red, accept what we've got for now and work more diplomatically to get our blue back.

Anyone who sings anything anti Tan songs from now on should be totally ashamed.

Tan has Said (just incase you have forgotten) ''CARDIFF CITY WILL NEVER BE BLUE AS LONG AS I AM HERE''

Not just you Jinks but all the other posters as well who say we should do x y & Z to please Tan and maybe he will turn us back to blue what part of ''CARDIFF CITY WILL NEVER BE BLUE AS LONG AS I AM HERE'' do you not understand. If you let me know maybe I can help explain it to you further.

there were no protest-marches and anti-Tan chants for the first 12 months, while fans wanted to interact with the club, sit down and work with the club on this...
there was not even a sign of compromise or even listening to the fans, instead the club pushed the rebrand even further by free scarfs, free season ticket etc...

that sparked the protest-movement, and rightly so...

If the club seriously wants to interact with the fans and work with us TOGETHER, then they should meet with fans reps like the trust and Bluebirds Unite... meetings they've been promised but never kept by the club

Gavin wrote:The club has moved forward leaps and bounds during his tenure as owner, quite frankly you can see it more and more as time passes by, whilst people will not except the rebrand and wear red kit, the 'Tan Out' chants have faded away, I hope it is because people realise that Vincent Tan has helped no end with the clubs development and progression and will continue to do so despite the constant gripes of the vocal minority.

This latest exposé about Malky, if proved correct, and lets me completely honest here...... it probably is true, you can come to that conclusion by the fact that Malky dropped his compensation claims and issued that grovelling apology to VT that he had major skeletons in his closet.

Vincent Tan has stayed tight lipped on this matter since saying that 'one day the truth will come out' and you've got to respect the fact that he could have leaked this story at any time up until now, even when facing all that critism during the 'Don’t sack Malky' chants, how easy would it have been, although it probably would have jeopardised the legal case to leak some info and put Malkys nail in his coffin as CCFC boss much earlier than he did?

Lads, let’s start to realise that life under VT isn’t to bad at all, a professionally run football club were we don’t have to worry too much about finances and being put out of business due to a couple of million begin owned to HMRC, as well as being active in the transfer market!

Time to show Tan the respect he deserves, amicable negotiations on the kit colour, a COMPLETE END to the disrespect shown to VT when he is present at home games, and end to the constant questioning of his decision making, and I call for CCST and Walesonline to give him some respect to instead of the constant bad headlines about the direct VT is taking the club.

I will only forgive Tan for the rebrand once its reversed.

Otherwise in my opion he has been a good owner, many would have let Malky get away with it and allow him to take over Palace where no doubt he would have been smarmy about it.

Re: Time to show Tan some long overdue respect

Thu Aug 21, 2014 12:56 pm

Best post I've ever read on this board. At last we are seeing and hearing real Cardiff fans not just some ignorant knotheads who've jumped on the anti red bandwagon because they think opposing the rebrand makes them better than the majority.

I'm really hoping we see Tan Banners, Tan Songs and Tan Applause. If we do any of these then I believe the tiny ignorant minority will have to eat their words and once again we will be blue.

We should all hope that none of these idiots end up acting on our behalf in any compromise/dicussion meetings with the club.

Re: Time to show Tan some long overdue respect

Thu Aug 21, 2014 12:59 pm

What? Respect a man who has raped the history and identity of City, ripped the heart out of it and set fan against fan? If Tan had this info when he sacked Malky, which he must have, Malky had done everything Tan wanted re the apology then this action stopping Malky taking the Palace job is purely vindictive.
