spot on! I hadn't met anyone who WANTED red before the rebrand and I haven't met anyone who WANTED red after it either.
Although I've met loads of people who've ACCEPTED it and moved on with their footballing lives.

Of course you have to consider why people accepted it.
Some did so because all they saw were the lights of the premier, some for a debt free club and some because it did not bother them.
Me I never accepted it and had a bit of grief from others over that. That is another story but when I see Tan handing out donations like this it reminds me of this guy I work with many years ago. He was a total idiot at work but the life and soul of any party. I went to one of his parties and just could not laugh with everyone else knowing what he was like at work.
To the same degree I don't have the same appreciation as others when I see him handing out these donations. Looking at what he is trying ot do to our club I guess I never will. Perhaps I would soften up if he was not so blatant about it all. Why cant he hand out donations away from the cameras like myself and one or two others on here?

First off, WHY people accepted the rebrand is really irrelevant. I think most people, like me, thought playing in red was a vey small price to pay in order to continue to have a club to support, a club that doesn't live day to day, subject to winding up orders and threats from external debtors. But the point here is, no-one actively WANTED to switch to red. There's a huge difference between WANTing and ACCEPTing something. So all this Pro-Red bullshit is just that: made-up bullshit by people who want to justify hating a big number of fellow supporters who don't agree with their opinion.
As for Tan's donations: how do you know how much he donates to charity away from the cameras? You don't! You just see what the cameras show and let's face it, with Tan's reputation, the public nature of the event and the amount of money involved there will be cameras there, whether Tan invites them or not.

great logic
youd soften to him if his gifts to charity were not public
but you wouldnt/dont know about them.......
so..its quite possible he donates huge sums out of the public eye..........which means you judge him wrongly but will never know?

INo I would not soften to him.
Perhaps I'm just a fundamentalist but I know enough people who give be it in monetary value or time who cannot afford it who deserve the attention more.
